You need to remember that the PS Eye was released 3 years before Kinect. Sony wasn't in a position to release a new camera for Move, it would have been too expensive for consumers and wouldn't have sold. Both are starting fresh for next-gen so I'd say it will be pretty evenly matched. PS4 Eye being better than Kinect in some aspects, Kinect being better than others. Don't compare technology that was released 3 years apart. You wouldn't do that with a mobile phone, would yo...
In the end, it was never about the Kinect. It was about Microsoft trying too hard to cur into Nintendo's market and giving core gamers sequels and spin-offs to shut them up. Personally, I am excited to see the GAMES offered for the next-gen cameras. Because that's where the difference between a gimmick and a feature will lie
If it's boxed with the system, it won't be at a high price point. It seems that most advancements next-gen is on an interface level rather than a technical level. I'm glad both parties opted for AMD. Cheapest to make, they know it works (won't have RROD again, which was caused by the graphics card) and when tweaked like they both have, can still give amazing performance. The only reason AMD doesn't match Intel is because games on PC don't take advantage of all cores ye...
I would love for an ultra-precise and ultra-responsive camera. I've never tried Kinect (like a dumbass I sold my Xbox just a week before it was leaked) but I am glad I am skipping cameras this generation and starting with next-gen tech. If I tried Kinect or PS Eye this gen and were disappointed, I would not have bothered next-gen. All I want is a decent FPS then I am happy. Microsoft is fuelling the misconception that cameras are for casuals only, but I hope PS4 Eye and Kinect 2.0 can cat...
hdshatter: First of all - WHAT? Do you even know the cost of any of those things you listed? You think Sony just has a crap load of hardware lying around in storage? I'm pretty sure you must be trolling. Secondly - would you care to fund that whole project? You could make some serious profit. Oh no wait you won't because it won't even sell 500 units a week. Remember it's still a handheld, not a console. And please tell me which Android or iPhone game's quality matches Unch...
Meant to say has his PS3 connected to the internet 24/7
I might buy one. The DVR (of all things lol) really interests me. But I will have to wait for the list of games. Forza is an amazing racer to me JUST because of the cars. Gran Turismo just has too many cars that are just fillers and outdated. I can understand the classic cars and cars that are iconic, but why would they put a 2002 Yaris in the game? That's my only annoyance from my favoirite racing series. It felt to me like they ported too many GT3 and GT4 cars. Doesn't have the same...
Okay and think of it this way. The more "hardcore" gamer has his PS3 connected 24/7. The average gamer and say, families, pick it up every now and again and don't even play online. So you want Sony to charge the average and "on-the-edge" (meaning does not know the difference between PlayStation and Xbox and would buy either one) MORE and the person with his mind set on buying a PS4 less? I understand your point and if Sony were catering solely for us Sony fans I would ...
Please elaborate? I would love to hear your reasoning regarding that comment
Actually, Google bought Motorola to manufacture their own Nexus-branded phones. So that argument is debatable. Regardless, console games will always thrive
What are the games that people want? Secondly, when said games come out, don't you think "people" already bought the Wii U for the games "people" want and "people" are disappointed? The sales we see now are the sales of the general market. Not every Wii owner would sacrifice their children for Zelda and Mario and are thus not likely to buy the Wii U. Nintendo hit the "dead zone" where the Wii U doesn't appeal to any group anymore. Casuals have t...
Dumbest comment of 2013 so far sorry. Sony pioneered Blu-Ray. They lead the development of it. Why on Earth would they remove it?
I am not trying to be funny or rude, but when my phone was zoomed out, I read jimbobwankley
At least Assassin's Creed TRIES to do something different. Never ever ever ever compare Ubisoft to Activision
Unfortunately, you are correct
Don't get me wrong, I am busy building an awesome rig now. I didn't make my comment to knock PC gamers at all. I love the PC. I am somewhat of a graphics whore and love it to just take 5 minutes and look around in a game and be mesmerized. PC gaming just feels really generic sometimes. I wish there were more "game-changing" IPs being released on PC
How sad must a person's life be if he chooses to become a NINTENDO fanboy of all things? Hell I'd rather be a fanboy for Cap'n Crunch
Not for Rockstar clearly
It won't be called X8.
Yeah... And all those were still published by MS? Your comment has below zero logic. It's on a different scale of logic. We should start handing out awards on N4G. Killzone HD shouldn't even be counted as it was just there to get this gen up to speed on the story. So that's 2 games in 6 years. Compared to 5 games (I will exclude Halo CE to be fair) in 7 years
