I dont agree at all, this game is absolutely gorgeous and the system is great. Yes, it's not the same RPG style as the original, but that doesn't even matter...real fans are still ecstatic.

We've all been asking for early digital release. Love it. Hoping they allow play early too instead of letting it sit on the drive til the 10th. We're still quarantined, would be nice to play it before work.
Hes not supposed to be super energetic and charismatic and shit like regular heroes. He's damaged, has mental illness, and is chasing a dragon the whole game. I hope he's tweaked, stoic, and just awkward.

Good riddance. I know it sucks for the employees etc...but this company has ripped off gamers for decades. I stopped going to GameStop YEARS ago because of their bullshit.
Gamestop tried to say they were an "essential" storefront during the crisis and that was just them grasping at straws trying to stay relevant. They wouldve nickel and dimed us during the crisis too I'd bet if they're that desperate for cash flow.
If my Playstation games library doesn't transfer over I'd be pretty disappointed.
Yeah thats what I did, staggered the shit out of them.
I found that swinging at them and dodging works until you get your 1 ATB bar, then use fire and they're automatically staggered.
Block. So much damage is mitigated by just blocking. Switch to Barret and use lightning only, cure is useless because potions heal more, while Lighting does excellent damage. It was tough, but mostly if you go in mashing buttons not thinking of a strategy. Once the shield goes up and the shield generator bot is revealed on his ass, thats when it gets a little more wild but just have to stay on his ass and put pressure. I noticed that too, there seems to be a spin there. Maybe Shinra blew it up in order to place the blame on AVALANCHE or "terrorists" and find excuse to put guards and machine enemies on the streets. Kind of like Martial law. Seems like this first part of the remake is focusing on Midgar alone, which is great because we get to experience all that happened before Cloud finally left Midgar to start his adventure.
This demo was incredible...Im hyped even more now knowing what's in store for me. Only thing that sucks is we probably won't see the remake end until like 2028.
SO happy with the Demo. Have played it 3 times now, I feel like their attention to detail is on another level with this game. Not only are they remaking a fan favorite, they're going all out and creating new content and making it fresh for even us old bastards waiting 23 years for this.
I agree 100%...I didn't wait 23 years to play the same exact fkn game. Expand it! Delve into midgar more, delve into the characters more, give me something new but NOT new.
I agree his introduction in the original was superb, but since all the real and loyal fans already know this game and its story so passionately, it's only right for them to throw more detail and more "surprises" at us, things that would've made sense originally but they just didn't do because the didn't have to.
Sephiroth being present in Midgar doesn't bother me at all. He was always present in the original game, they made him seem almost omnipresent. He finally met face to face with Sephiroth when he visited that village with the mansion in the original game, but they didn't really SAY it was their first time meeting. Just seems like they run into each other here and there and feel each others presence and stay active in each others strorylines without ever really emphasizing it. I love...
It's pretty amazing. Cant wait to see how they enhanced the rest of the game. That first boss in the reactor core was splendidly done! Can only imagine what theyve done with all the other dozens of bosses.
