To be honest I felt the same way at first, but then saw the gameplay and how the card system works and im actually interested in playing it. It'll be refreshing to try something different.
There are games even from the NES that were re-released with online. Games weren't designed for online play just couch co-op since the tech didn't exist, so to be able to play old games with people around the world is fascinating to me.

I think its the overall design of all the characters that's throwing me off. Ive played so many of these Star Ocean games and I've always enjoyed the combat system and cool skill trees. The faces all seem very generic and "Stock Photo" type, where nothing pops with creativity, the main guy's scrunched weird face is also annoying, but it's a small part of a bigger problem imo.
Im literally one trophy away from plat on GoW Rag, all because I killed the final valkerye and my connection was wonky so it didn't register. So I have to replay entire game and beat all the valkryes again. I cant wait to replay it though on NG+!
You can tell there are tons of new players, thinking beating the final boss is "the end" when its actually the beginning.

Why does everything have to be open world? Sonic just needs to be 2D/3D side scrolling...with today's Tech you can have some really amazing dynamic stages and all kinds of fun shit. They're just overthinking...Sonic 1,2,3 were simple!
I didn't know the combat was like this, I actually like it. Reminds me of Baldur's Gate in the 90s. Dont get me wrong I'd rather have the traditional Spiderman/Batman type combat but this is refreshing to see. Final fantasy tactics was one of my favorite games growing up, my nostalgia is leaning me toward buying this game.
Makes me want to buy it more, one of my favorite Anime movies.
