The current kinect makes a decent mic. If you run the setup for it so it doesn't pick up a bunch of background noise it works really well. Which honestly I was surprised by this.
However, I agree it is a mistake. Just like it was a mistake that the PS3 didn't ship with one. But Sony learned from their mistakes and now MS is making their mistakes.
I like the game so far. But I am waiting for a patch that addresses the glitch where nothing you obtain or purchase shows in your inventory.
Playing in stereoscopic 3D with TressFX on made my framerate drop down into the 30s according to FRAPS. But it did look damn good.
I loved it. Played it on PC. Hopefully they expand the use of TressFX because it made a world of difference graphically.

They act like you can't have both. So many PC services allow you purchase a physical copy and it gets tied to your user account with them. So later you can either install from the disc if you like to save time from DLing a 20gig game or just install directly from your account over the internet.
MS could give EVERY option they first promised WITHOUT all the restrictions. How do I know this? Because Battle.net, Steam, and Origin have been doing it already for years.

^^This. But also remember that the consoles are using an APU with a (normally) discrete mobile version of the 7870 slapped on it. More powerful with higher power draw. But still "cheap" and less powerful than the real thing.
The first AMD APU could run crysis on medium settings at 720p rez flawlessly which was impressive at the time.
Still though, your original point is valid. Just not as bleak as most might think.

My question is if all these "exclusives" are exclusive to the X1 and requires the use of Kinect (because it is so damned important to gaming, right?) how will the windows version of these games going to played? Will the gameplay be gimped because you have no kinect? I am guessing it will just prove a point that the kinect isn't needed much less wanted in our gaming sessions.

Its not racist. But the Japanese are VERY loyal to home-land companies. Having several people close to me that have lived there and taught english/german in their schools they all tell me that they look at you funny if you mention anything but a Japanese made product as a suggestion.

I like the PC more often than not over my consoles. But this usually has to do with the fact most of the games I like playing never make it to a console in the first place since I play a lot of strategy/mmo/F2P/MOBA style games.
I really think if Sony or MS were to have officially supported a KB+M setup on their console you would see a whole new market for RTS/strategy/in depth RPGs and MMOs like EVE or Guild Wars come online and make record breaking sales on consoles.

We were not "forced" exactly. There was a work around the same week it launched to allow for DX10 on XP.
Good. I am glad that he won't. Not because I think the guy is some sort of hero but because I don't believe in self incrimination.
I like it. Yes it needs some work but I for a $20 game I thought it was good. About ~10hrs of gameplay + whatever the community makes with the free editor that was released for the game.
@PIRGANEK - that extra RAM could actually help in a whole host of ways. From allowing for more/higher rez textures since it shares this with the GPU, to allowing more stored data for quicker access, to simply allowing the devs to be lazier and rely on more ram instead of optimizing for it.
However in the end I seriously doubt the 12gb of RAM rumor is true. (at least for retail hardware)
