MS is responsible for some great additions to gaming
Whether you love or hate it, Halo proved that FPS can be done well on consoles, at a time when gamers needed PC's for their FPS fix. There were others, like say GoldenEye but no one can deny Halo's contribution
I also think it's because of Xbox that PS3 owners get to enjoy PSN and a hard drive in every console
I have to admit, I use my 360 mainly for exclusives now
I use the PS3 for everything else including online
Though I do think that Xbox live is better in some areas than PSN, it's not so much better to warrant an annual fee
And I'm saying this as a PSN Plus user with an annual $50 subscription...
Xbox Live has a fee for functions that should be free for console users like playing online. Any talk of raising the price ...

MGS4 is one of the greatest gaming experiences I've EVER had
And Uncharted 1 & 2 are amazing
But Demon's Souls is the game that just continues to find it's way back into my PS3. I simply cannot shake the addiction
There are near infinite character builds to explore. And you can build your character to excel at PvE, PvP, both, or just make fun builds... like invading someone's game dual-wielding pick-axes or Meat Cleavers...
Yes, so much so that I find myself now waiting to buy new PSN releases and add-ons to see if Sony releases them for 50% off or free for PSN+ members
That can't be what Sony planned, but at least they are getting my money up-front. And also getting my money for games that I previously thought maybe just a bit too expensive to try out. So it's a good trade-off for them, I guess.
And it sucks when they release free games that you already paid for. But...
