I'm seeing a lot of "it's the same generation because it's the same architecture" thrown around... Please, someone explain why a new generation needs to have a different architecture?
I mean, for me unless it gets exclusives to push the power of it... It's not next gen. Architecture is purely about compatibility.

I'm pretty sure went with 360 because it was their second console... If Xbox 2 released beside PS3, the less educated would buy on numbers alone.
I've only played an hour or so, but I don't think it's bad. Just 2 complaints, some controls feel unintuitive, and the occasional poor animation... Either way, I think some people are exaggerating...

1) It's 1.0 games, on a more expensive medium.
2) Sales wouldn't justify development/ports.
3) There was an opportunity to squeeze some more money out of consumers.
4) A combination of the above.

I just think that the cost of game pass (albeit spread over an extended period) will be more expensive than buying the games I want. Granted, there may be a hidden gem I may miss as a result.
Basically, I don't find the cost of a year's subscription is worth it unless there are games in game pass at a games release.

Take out all the games you own, those that have been a GWG or are of GWG quality, those that you will likely play for a total of 1 hour...

I'm enjoying my xbox less and less, whether it's because I've changed, because most of my friends have moved to PS, or minimal enjoyable and unique experiences... I dunno... Gaming just doesn't feel the same anymore. I haven't owned a Sony console since PS2... I think time on the market matters because you're more likely to skip an iteration if releases are frequent.
Don't get me wrong, Cuphead looks like a lot of fun... But THAT'S the game you can't wait to see running on Scorpio? I wanna see what it can do when pushed to its limit.
They need to diversify their games library. Cancelling Scalebound will not help. I fear for Scorpio as I can't see how the One/One S will not hold it back.
I loved my Xbox for a long time, but either I'm getting old or the experiences are getting stale. The only thing preventing me trying out the PS is the nauseating feeling all the arrogance from Sony fans has left me with. It feels like the dark side.
