@Crazyglues
The size of the SSD has not been confirmed.
The amount of memory has not been confirmed.
Reel in your excitement a liiiittle bit and only repeat confirmed specs. That said, I'm super stoked for all the PS5 rumours and announcements; I just separate the two.
Leave it to the devs to decide how and where they want to prioritise their power usage.
There is no technological reason why PS2 games shouldn't work. PS2 emulation is comparatively easy.
PS1 will depend on whether the PS5 laser can read CDs, but again there's no reason why PS1 digital titles shouldn't work.
PS3 is the only real question as to whether it's feasible. The raw PS5 power suggests hope, but I'll wait for the reveal later this year.
I hope PS5 comes out 2nd, so that Sony can once again benefi...
Other things I'd like:
- dualshock4 compatibility.
- new VR controllers (with thumbsticks).
- backwards compatibility with PS1-3, maybe even Vita.
Metal Gear Solid 1
Silent Hill 1-4 (delete previous 2&3 remaster from existence)
Resistance trilogy
Killzone trilogy
Demons Souls
Not me.
I don't trade in my games*, but I do buy most of my games from CEX.
* apart from duplicates (such as PS+) or old retro ones that I now have on Raspberry Pi.
Article lists:
Blood & Truth
Concrete Genie
Everybody's Golf VR
Falcon Age
Marvel's Iron Man VR
No Man's Sky VR
Trover Saves the Universe
I'd argue that Concrete Genie shouldn't be on this list as the full game is not playable in VR, but a few modes are (a bit like Star Wars: Battlefront had a VR Mission).
I'd add Dreams to the list.
Blood & Truth - looks amazing.
Astro Bot, Moss, Resi 7, Firewall - all stunning. So many others.
I fricking love my PSVR.
You get used to it in time.
But always tied to a subscription and never own their games. No thank you!
Technically, one upgrade (Pro) and one downgrade (Casual).
This isn't a first. Look at Xbox with its TWO upgrades (S, X) and its one downgrade (SAD).
Hopefully, now that 4K is out of the way, next gen will have a uniform spec throughout. I preferred PS3 where the only changes were in size/design.
WILLIES!!!
So don't buy remasters. If you continue to buy them, they will continue to make them.
RDR1 is on PS3 not PS4.
RDR2 is on PS4 not PS3.
So what doubling up of RDR franchise are you complaining about having to buy twice??
We had a tease of what could be at the end of MGS4.
If I pay for this via PS4, would that subscription also work on Xbox?
Hence why Sony would BUY them.
So much edge. You edgy. Grrrr.
There is a huge difference between an all-digital future and an all-streaming future. If we have to lose physical media (which is NOT necessarily a given, but a liklihood) then I know I would much prefer a digital future over a streaming one.
