Pretty sure they said PS4 was probably gonna be the last console cycle too. They were wrong then and you're probably wrong now.
In Cerny we trust.
You base your own opinion on what you think.others have said in the past?
... Bit weird.
@WickedLester I currently have a PS4, PS3, Wii, and an Xbox One S plugged in.
My PS2 and Xbox are boxed up because of (a) lack of space under the TV, (b) lack of easy access to wired controller storage (all current drawers full of controllers for those consoles already set up), and (c) I've been spoilt by the pause/resume functionality of PS4 that has left me grumpy towards older consoles that make me reboot a game instead of playing in seconds. 😂
Why wouldn't you want 1 box to play all PlayStation games?? That shizzle is the dream! One box instead of 4!
I am indeed planning on waiting for PS5 for all upcoming PS4 exclusives. Don't know whether PS5 will get separate remastered releases or just patch the PS4 version, but I'll still be waiting so I can play the definitive true vision.
??
Yes. Absolutely.
Preferably full native BC with all PS generations. I'm more than happy with unimproved fidelity, but if they can smooth out frame rates and boost resolution (i.e. upscale SD to 4K) that'd be the dream.
All MS do lately is talk about power. It's a distraction tactic.
Same internals (mostly), yet they'll both take utterly different directions. I know which way I'm heading.
That's just because the mob like simplicity. When the 360 was being followed-up, the most common suggestion was Xbox 720. Scarlett's final name won't be obvious; it'll be utterly contrived and odd. Mockery awaits a la "Xbone".
I would utterly lose my shit if PS5 had full BC with 1-4. Total wankfest. Day off work, jizz everywhere, the works. 🥳
@battlegrog
You obviously didn't read my comment properly.
Xbox 4
Xbox Infinite
Xbox Scarlett
One of those is fine. I would imagine that they'll come up with something a tad more facetious.
Far too obvious - but - MS reckon that the masses would see Xbox 4 having a lower number than PlayStation 5 and consider it to be older tech. Don't quite agree with their rationale; just look at the iPhone 11 v Pixel 2. Numericals mean jack. A straightforward name is far preferable to a weird ethos behind it.
I'm wondering what Sony are actually leaving for the grand reveal in Feb 2020. They've already dished the goods on SSD, 8K, haptic feedback, fancy triggers, PS4 & VR compatibility... so what's left? It can't just be the look of it, so they must be having something in reserve for the WOW factor.
I reckon they'll have some amazing surprises to reveal with the console. I'm HOPING for full backwards compatibility with PS1-4 but I'm not expecting ...
I don't want a Switch, but a Mario collection and a Zelda collection would be very tempting
I miss SingStar...
It's not under-appreciated; it's appreciated as much as it was warranted.
The console itself was a confused mess that never really had a unified approach as to what it felt it was as a console. The unit itself was cheaply made, the games took ages to come, it had no support, and died a quick justified death.
The games are getting an extension of life beyond the shoddy console origins by getting ported over to the Switch.
Never doubt a PS exclusive. 👍🏻
