Not by PS4, but maybe PS5.
I think that depends on how they handle backwards compatibility.

The people who would buy a PS4 Pro are far more likely to buy a PS5 instead. I'd focus on base PS4 sales only in the lead up to PS5 release.

Competition is good for business and better for consumers.

Sony previously confirmed that they've SOLD over 100m, so the difference won't be significant.

I doubt it. The Last of Us 2 will more likely have a bigger impact.

Sell the franchise to Sony.
BluePoint Games to put out a proper remaster collection for 1-4.
New sequel please

This.
Yes, I don't mind a 2nd SKU at launch for just storage (like the 360/PS3 gen) but it'd be a huge error to have differences in computational power at launch.

PS5 already has custom SSD, ray tracing, PS4 compatibility, 4K UHD drive, 8K - what could a Pro possibly give us?

The marketing of the PS4 Pro hung on the "4K gaming" buzzwords. It was the sole reason it existed. What would be the reason for a PS5 Pro?

Still on my PS4. Not sure how I'm going to get it on the PS5 though...

Completed it. Literally don't remember the story.

More remakes should include the original game as a bonus. I like this.

However, after getting Crash Trilogy and Spyro Trilogy, this release really should have been BOTH MediEvil games - especially at that price.

Yes, but that's more of a 'passing of the torch' type film. This game had all actors in their original roles doing a full-on script.

And how would that fit in with backwards compatibility? Whatever the successor becomes, it'll include touchpad.

One simple reason:
The Switch is the sole focus of Nintendo. Literally all their efforts are into the Switch.
With the Vita, however, it was always the secondary console for Sony.

All other factors are lesser quibbles.

Like announcing a lower price point, for example, or full native PS1-4 BC.

I hope Sony's E3 2020 conference is AFTER Microsoft's so they can drop some Huge bombs on Xbox 4 reveal. I very much enjoyed Sony's piss-taking and rug-pulling at the 2013 conference.

Nope. Sony are genius in their understated approach. They beat Xbox to the punch on all the buzzwords and innovations that will drive next gen - SSD, 8K, ray-tracing, etc. - those will now be Sony's 1st and Microsoft will be seen as "also on Xbox" instead of pioneers.

And Sony did that with our any effort. A classy, respectful, understated "Hey, this is us".

But do you really think they're going to stay in that gear? This is ju...

I'm budgeting for £500, anything less is a bonus (or an extra game/controller).

I managed to get 100% of the Home trophies just before they shut off the servers. 🤘🏼
