Bogus. Story.
There's a lot of "allegedly"'s in there, and the source is a pressure group.
This smells fake.
I'm waiting for my Pit Bull.
I refuse to believe that a single game will influence anything. But the core Nintendo audience has done nothing to help the situation.
I notice the article failed to say "In Europe". The game is still released 3 days earlier for all platforms in the US.
Of course Columbine was video games fault, not the easy way the teens were allowed to amass an arsenal, or becoming social outcasts. I heard Charles Whitman played a ton of Halo before ascending that belltower with his sniper rifle, too.
...love to break street dates?
Windows 7 is going to be a cash cow - thought the Zune Touch may be a cash sink. We'll see.
You might notice Square-Enix is experimenting with different genres right now.
Even more interesting is the way they keep hyping the Thief franchise lately...
ALMOST xenophobic?
The Pitt had an excellent moral quandry. KOTOR2, though, tops them all.
Well, how come major Japanese titles have to be exported to survive these days? How come traditional Japanese licenses are being farmed out to Western developers (ie. Resident Evil, Silent Hill)? How come Square-Enix is buying Western developers like Eidos and talking about learning how to develop for the Western audience?
Um, no. We're talking CNet, Joystiq, GamesRadar, GameSpot, IGN, UGO, etc. They don't "worship Microsoft".
Oh, and *I* mock the claim. I'm mocking it! Mock! Mock! Mock!
Always get the support of porn industry.
Interesting perspective.
Lund wrote this in the NG to someone like you:
Wow, so a difference of 15,867 units after 16 weeks... Woo!
So, let's see here... at that rate they just have to keep it up for
another... 94.245 years to catch up to the Wii...
(Wii is ahead by 4,860,000 in Japan, divided by 15,867 gives the
number of 16 week units required to catch up. 306.296. Times 16 = the
number of weeks required. 4900.737. Divide by 52 = number of years...
The article has nothing to do with specific consoles, or who's "winning" or "losing".
When a year of Japanese sales are LESS than a MONTH of American sales...
Little hint: There's a REASON Square-Enix is buying Eidos and other Western developers. They see the writing on the wall, and realize they have to start making games that cater to Western audiences. Heck, they SAID as much.
PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and 360 - where's the PC version? Just port the 360 version, for Chrissakes.
Screw you. I played it on the C-64 over two decades ago and it STILL kicks ass now. Addictive as hell.
All I take from this is that Microsoft planned the 360 in 2002 - the Xbox 1 was launched Nov 2001.
There's another game show for PrimeTime - forgot which one.
