lol I've noticed that N4G has a larger-than-average PS3 fanboy contingent. Honestly, "Gears of who?" etc? The language isn't exactly journalistic.

Sony announced there would be no price cut to the PS3 - it's obvious they're in the "sink or swim" stage.
Meaning - they're going to let the PS3 try to survive on its own. Sony has a huge electronics portfolio - they already established Blu-Ray. They have TVs and computers. They're not going to chug any more money or effort into the PS3 until it thrives or dies.
I'm more jazzed about Fallout 3, Fable 2, Mirror's Edge and Saints Row 2.
They won't *require* DX10. It WILL support DX10 since DX10 supports DX9. lol
