Agreed.
Das- you can't be serious. Titianfall is pvp only and is very barebones. Destiny has an incredible amount of depth. And whys it hard to believe that the guys that MADE Halo could make another game just as influential? No matter what Halo going forward will always just be a shell of itself.
COD already "dethroned" Halo. Look at the numbers. And now Destiny will be this generations franchise. Halos dying, because it's creators have moved on to something better, and so should you.
It's already better......
exactly!!! people these days.
Anyone who thinks this needs to go read the IGN First article put up today about the endgame content that happens after reaching level 20. They discuss daily content updates and new and different challenges. They discuss raids a lot, which were not seen or discussed in the beta. There's going to be plenty of content for gamers, unless you're one with no life and want 24 hours of content each day. In that case, I'll pray for you. lol
@Dante....... why would you be coming from an MMO to a FPS anyways? Coming from a FPS all MMO's look like utter $hit to me and boring as hell. For those of us who have a life we'll stick with Destiny.
but you have NO IDEA how big it actually is. It's a beta, and there are rumors, and that's what you're basing your entire opinion of a FULL game on. Hype will always be there for the biggest games of the year. If this game didn't have the hype what game would? Tell me a game that's going to be bigger and more involved than Destiny coming this year..... There isn't one. Hype is justified because it's just hype.
just your average shooter? Your average shooter would consist of COD, BF and Halo. This is leaps and bounds beyond those. All of those games don't have an open world setting. They also have a single player and multiplayer that are completely separate. They have little to no co-op. Destiny integrates all of those modes into one game and everything meshes with everything. When people hear "reinvent" I really want to know whats in their head. If you're saying it's an averag...
lol it does everything better. Other than 90's split screen multiplayer.....hahaha!
I think the depth in mechanics and gameplay comes from having the 3 classes, which each have their own supers and will each have their own subclasses, not to mention different grenades and melee abilities. I also think once the full game is released and we see how much we can do things will change.
I think the changes they're making are going to help overall though. To me it completely changed the gameplay and to do that for just one map seemed disjointed. Having just one intercepter and having it on a time delay makes sense. It should come around the same time as the first heavy ammo crates so there's ways to take it out easier. I think it's important that you "earn" the tank, which is why it'll be good that there's one to fight over.
troll. Couldn't see your legs? wtf? Also, the thowing knife is only a one hit kill to the head. Activision doesn't have anything to do with the actual development of the game. If you're talking about DLC then maybe, but the game itself? and something like not seeing your legs?? dude.......
lol classic! Seriously though I think the only people that didn't like the game just sucked at it.
you really have no idea what you're talking about..... It's 100% about a name. One comes to mind here, hmmm let me think, oh that's right HALO is just a freaking name and there hasn't been a good one since Bungie left.
lol flaming fanboy much? Halo is the game that's like COD now, as it doesn't know when to quit. They keep holding on to Bungies coat-tails and try to recapture the magic of Halo 2 and 3, but alas they fail, everytime. It's understandable though as the only draw Xbox has, and has ever had, is Halo. Coming from a person that used to play cod (before is sucked) this plays nothing like it. Kills take 3-4 times longer and the variety of weapons (which you complain about?) makes the gam...
Here's why I "liked it".
Coming from someone that is used to the "big-name" shooters i.e. COD, Titanfall etc. it was refreshing to be able to have a variety of things to do and see. Maybe it wasn't as much as other open world games or rpg's but compared to a traditional shooter it was leaps and bounds ahead. I'm also someone that enjoys the competitive pvp aspect of FPS games and I really enjoyed Destiny's. Sure it needs some tweaking/balancing ...
and.......it will lol. It'll sell 15 million easy. Ok not easy, but ya.
It was, but did you play Ghosts? that was just bad.
