Well worth it, even at $60. I love this game.
*makes lightsaber noises, GF hears , no beej tonight*
No Van Buren really blows, but I do dig Bethesda's take on the franchise.
It's a good way for people to get their feet wet. For about $100-$150 you can turn any decent modern desktop PC into a passable gaming rig.
Especially if you get a used GPU on Ebay, like a Radeon 5770 or GTX 260.
Only thing holding most people back would be the weak power supplies that come in most PCs.
@ BiggCMan- I disagree, bud. You can't build a rig that maxes out Metro 2033 in DX11 with Advanced PhysX, etc, for under $1000, but I'm not talking about building a monster.
Most people have no clue what it's like to game on a high end PC, so even what you might turn your nose up at would be a massive improvement over their experience with Xbox 360 or PS3.
Not everyone thinks you need to push every slider all the way to the right, with every piece of debri...
I've built my own rigs for years. If I was gaming on a 1080p monitor, like your average person about to build a good gaming rig will be, I'd go with an Intel Core i5 2500k, a motherboard that supports SLI and/or Crossfire, and either an Nvidia GTX 570 or an AMD Radeon 6950 2GB. Very few games will push these cards too hard even at completely maxed settings.
SSDs are nice, but they really don't make that much of a difference if you're only using them as an OS d...
200+ page artbook & the making of doc don't seem lame to me, but everyone has their own tastes I guess.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, gots mines paid for already. Excessively priced, to be sure, but certain games are more of a life experience.
Dead Island is a blast for the initial 25-30hr playthrough.
I'd give it a 7, personally.
Good news is that I paid like $34 during that Green Man sale.
It is. I'm gonna get it for the 360.
FEH! It'll be worth the wait, but I'm really looking forward to this one. Maybe I'll pick up Dark Souls to fill in the gap.
No thanks.
Anything zombie related.
The code works on other games, as well.
Geuzien blausen das ingerpööpen jerflánken der fleezel on der LAZERBEAMEN.
I got my copy intact. It had the coupon inside. I sold the coupon on Ebay for $27. I got the email about the $50 gift card. I went get that, too.
I disagree with their initial handling of the issue (opening & molesting new games, then selling them as new), but this worked out pretty well for me.
I bought mine at GameStop, mostly because of a nice trade in promo going when I wanted to preorder, & I got the OnLive coupon in an unopened game. I promptly sold the code on Ebay. Hahahah! Anyway, I shop at GameStop ONLY when I have trade in, & ONLY when they're running a special trade in promo. Otherwise, I ship my trade in games to Amazon & use the credit to preorder games from them. What it comes down to is that GameStop should sell their new games UNOPENED & UNALTERED...
*definitely?
I pay to watch it in HD quality, commercial free, because my cable company doesn't carry AMC HD.
I want to see my favorite show in the best quality possible, & not some grainy, washed out mess.
I pay instead of bootlegging it because I respect & appreciate the work that the cast & crew put into it, & want them to profit from it.
Preordered this for PC at Green Man Gaming's site for $34 after a coupon. Paid the same for Batman:Arkham City, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, & Dead Island(right before it came out). If you game on PC, check them out. I'm stoked for this game. Loved Dark Alliance.
