You're thinking in terms of outdated hardware. Graphics chips from both Nvidia & AMD/ATI have come a long way since the PS3 was created. Not only are they much more powerful, they've become much more energy efficient, & produce a lot less heat.

Haha, nah, I'm just from southern Louisiana. We use lots of archaic (& sometimes straight up nonsensical) slang on a day to day basis.

I work in a video game store, & these interviews actually are an accurate depiction of a fraction of our customer base.
Gaming has gone mainstream, & most of the people who play are as "normal" as your average non-gamer.
The types of people being interviewed would be that way regardless of their hobbies, I'd imagine. Socially awkward retards are often that way naturally, & gravitated towards gaming as a result of that.
Take into consideration that this is a "720p" Youtube video, which doesn't do either version real justice, especially the PC version.
When it comes down to it, though, once you're immersed in the gameplay, a few more jagged edges or rougher textures won't matter, really.
Just play it, have fun.
