This game is worth the full price of a new game regardless of what anyone thinks. I have seen broken games with shorter play time and less replay value release for $60 with an additional $40 in day 1 DLC and the gaming community does not bat a damn eye and pay it happily and make those games billion dollar sellers. Not because an indie studio made it means it's not worth full price. What matters is the scope, size, quality and value of the game.
You won the Internet for the day.
I'm sorry, when has it ever been stated that this game would not be $60? Your comment indicates that the only reason they are selling it physically is so they can charge full price. Where did you get your info that this game would not be full price digitally?
@Avernus
When he wrote X.0 he meant X to be what ever number a major update was e.g. 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 etc.
The bubble system was invented for people just like you.
You're funny.
Man, I never even thought of that while I was playing this. That would be amazing.
Dude you just moved the goalpost out of the stadium.
@dcbronco
What double standard???? It has ALWAYS been up to publishers whether they want to install DRM on their games or not. Sony simply stated that nothing was gonna change. A hardware manufacturer CANNOT dictate how a third party publisher creates their games unless the manufacturer is publishing said game.
That is a very weak and baseless argument that the xbox fanboys try to use to throw doubt and speculation on sony because of microsoft's screwu-ps...
This is a walking simulator, you have to like that type of game in order to appreciate this. I'm not big on walking simulators but at the same time I tend to play all of them because I can appreciate a good story. As far as WS's go this is one of the best I've played so far. I haven't finished it (i'm about 3/4 the way through) but it's a pretty solid game. The graphics are amazing, the atmosphere is mind blowing and the interactions are engaging. it sets a great mood ...
@Death
"It is sometimes better to keep your mouth shut and let others wonder if you are a fool than it is to open your mouth and remove all doubt"
The irony of you calling me a fool after making a completely unnecessary statement after I CLEARLY stated in my comment that it's the same with ALL companies, is staggering. I don't make excuses for sony when they do BS and you obviously are clueless as to how these large corporations work.
@moldybread
Are you one of those people that actually believe that when these guys make these statements they are just giving their opinion and not the opinion of the company? Don Mattrick didn't have to leave microsoft because he made comments that microsoft didn't agree with, he had to leave because he made public comments that they were making in their boardrooms that should have been kept there.
Do you guys actually think that he was the only one ...
These guys keep getting better. I wonder if they will ever top journey?
Let me rephrase the title of this article for you with a more factual title and then maybe you would understand why he isn't interested in catching up:
"Phil Spencer head of the xbox division, the same division that said last gen that the first to 10 million console sales wins the generation, on why Xbox One catching up with PS4's sales isn't his priority now that they were beaten to 10 million and are being outsold 2:1 in sales."
I hope...
There was absolutely nothing weak about the story in the order. It may have had its issues but the story definitely wasn't one of them. The Order had one of the best stories of any game this gen. But hey, trolls gotta troll right?
@Xikurap
You cannot say a review was spot on if you never played a game. Yes we may all play the same exact game but the impact of it or how we felt about the experience may not be the same.fo3 you to say it was spot on would mean you played it and came out with the exact same feelings as him. You did not, so you have no grounds to base your opinion on.
You can keep saying it but it won't make it true.
The RROD affected 48 -53% of 360's in the first 3 years, the YLOD affected 9% of PS3's. I fail to see how that is a match.
You're expecting a brand new 10 hour game with this level of graphics to be 20 bucks?
What does indie have to do with anything? It doesn't matter who the hell made a game, what matters is the quality and and value for your money. That is an absolutely horrendous way to look at this.
