Don't know if it will but I'm thinking the lifetime sales will definitely come close. The ps2 lifetime sales is like the 9th wonder of the world but I'm thinking if the ps4 continues at the rate it's going it could probably do over 125 million. Shorter console life cycle may hinder it doing over 150.
@moldybread
You're really the last person to call anyone out about taking sides. your comment history reads like a major nelson blog. Anyway, to answer your question, I didn't call him out on it because I don't necessarily think he is completely wrong. Personally I don't think it will get more gaming support than the oculus. I think the oculus would most likely beat it on gaming support. The thing is sony does not only do gaming and they have already stated th...
"At the very most you might get 4-5 games/year."
Just out of curiosity, on what grounds do you make such a bold claim? On whose authority? Which developers are you speaking to and what department do you work in at sony? When was the last time you spoke to yoshida-san about this? It would be very good if you can share with us how you are getting your info in order for you to make such a claim, and please, do not pull vague assumptions out of your a-hole.
It still doesn't change the fact that he is VERY much anti-sony.
Why is a YouTube video by a known anti-sony youtuber being used to showcase this? This is also dependant on location it is not a rule of thumb.
Who are the 8 people that disagreed with your comment? What exactly did you say that was wrong or incorrect? I swear some people on this site are just ....................
^^This!!
Polygon has always been excessively hard on sony. This has everything to do with their affiliation with microsoft. Some people hate to hear this but it won't change the fact that polygon is a microsoft pr website. When almost all websites were bashing microsoft for their original xbox one vision, polygon were calling gamers privileged, narrow minded and foolish for not accepting the DRM box. They literally had articles bashing gamers. Microsoft gave them 3/4 of a million dollars to start ...
What the hell are they thinking?
Why exactly?

@GusBricker
No they are not. They are PS exclusives owned by sony but they are certainly NOT first party games. If sony gets a first party studio to develop the next game in the franchise then they will become first party games.
@FlexLuger
I am not going to respond to anything you type after this. Something is wrong with you people. Your fanboyism is so fanatic that it doesn't even allow you to read and interpret sentences correctly. you read sentences with blinders on and then make arguments for things no one even mentioned because you can't seem to cope with anything anyone says that you perceive to be negative about the plastic you worship. You show a complete lack of understanding and rea...
@martinstrings,TheCommentator
Yes, I am 100% disagreeing with "wiki". And in case you didn't know, wikipedia and wikis are not written by experts in the field. they are written by people like you who sometimes have very inaccurate information and they are edited by people with even less information. that is why wikis are not allowed to be used by students in universities as sources of information. That definition is WRONG, plain and simple.
@martinstrings
I give up. Whatever you say bruh.
@martinstrings
"Those are first party franchises. They are being developed by third party studios, but the games are still first party for all intensive purposes."
I seriously don't get it with you people. Do you guys have an aversion to the meaning of the term First Party? It's like trying to explain quantum physics to a brick wall. They are exclusive franchises NOT first party franchises.
@donthate
"That is indeed the term, but MS doesn't distinguish between that anymore. It is first party if it is exclusive and ip is owned by MS."
The absolute fanboy drivel that leaves the keyboard with some of the people around here is enough to make you lose faith in humanity. I absolutely refuse to respond to the total nonsense you just typed. Have a good day sir.
@Aceman
Thank you sir, unfortunately logic e...
Their seems to be a lack of understanding by some microsoft fans on this site with the term First Party. For the last time, Scalebound and Recore are NOT first party games. They are third party games that are exclusive to the xbox one. Microsoft are publishing them but that does NOT make them first party. First party games are games that are developed by studios that microsoft OWNS. They DO NOT own the studios developing those games, they are indie developers. Sea Of Thieves is a first party ...
@Frinker
You obviously never played this game. Do you even know what a platformer is?
The wii did 103 million with the 360 and ps3 being options so I fail to see the logic of that statement.
So what you're saying is that this holiday will somehow cause the xbox to slow the momentum the ps4 has built over the last 2 years? A momentum that is still going strong?
Even if it does overtake the ps4 in NA, which I doubt, how does that affect anything? NA is NOT be all and end all.
