fps is mostly up to the gpu. the only time it would be a problem if there is a bottleneck, but frames per second depends on the gpu power.

(99.9% computer games use rasterization)
when benchmarked, there is little improvement shown by upgrading cpu

Battle net and EA origin have millions of users. There also GOG, uplay, etc.
there are lots of die hard dark souls fans out there that had to get a ps4 for bloodborne. It came out when dark souls games had become really popular too.
A lot of the "console exclusive" games are available on steam before they are on xbox. They aren't limited to windows 10 when talking about pc. (windows 7 is still used by many) Yes 3rd party makes up most of the sales and that's where console makers get money from software, but how many 3rd party games are sold on windows store? Microsoft wants people to get xbox because they will get $$. ex: COD sells millions on xbox but on windows store? Not much. Battlefield sells milli...
it's upscaling
It's basically a rx 580, which is an improved 480. This is closer to a gtx 1060.
It's not just the cpu... The Radeon RX580 is a 6.2 teraflop polaris chip and it has problems running games at 4k 30 fps. Even a gtx1080ti can't run all games at 4k/60fps. It will probably be 60fps on forza motorsports (not horizon) and the 2d indie games but thats about it unless they run on low to med low settings. That kinda defeats the purpose of 4k.

Isn't just a polaris chip with a jaguar cpu? They just overclocked the shitt out of it. (free performance) If they had to use a vapor chamber cooler than it must get pretty hot. They should make it easy to clean the dust or put some removable dust filters on it. They probably had use to a good quality power supply(high efficiency=less heat) which would add to the cost.
It's true that pc game sales are mostly, but I don't think this game would sell well on pc. It was made for a controller and there are better RTS games on pc. I think this game was only available from the windows store too (a lot of pc gamers will not buy games there) I think the sales of the first game are somewhat misleading. They had cgi commercials showing crazy battles (no real gameplay). There were probably a few people that were disappointed when they actually played the game. ...
On PC, digital is better because there are multiple stores to buy games from. So they have to compete on prices. Also physical PC games are not able to be resold. They come with a code and its tied to your computer.
servers are only need for big multiplayer games. No one is gonna use a server for 2? person coop
It doesn't have to be one or the other. AAA games should have good presentation and good gameplay. Graphics obviously matters for games, for story driven games, story is also important. All things combined make the game it isn't just one or the other
They won't have to pay any royalties to Microsoft for releasing on pc.
well windows is much more important to microsoft than xbox is. Now that windows is seeing competition from android they have to do all they can to make windows more appealing. Without windows there would be no microsoft
Microsoft is only interested in investing in games that sell really well. That's why they try to make their games "accessible" or "mainstream". Those older games probably didn't perform as well as expected so they probably aren't interested in bringing them back. They should just bring mechwarrior online instead of remaking mechassault, since it's already made and is better than mechassault.
@EDMIX
Does a game need to be a series...
not really massive gains for amd cards, just not massive losses that nvidia cards have. Some cards see an increase in performance, but not by much
Are you sure you a pc gamer? I think pc gamers know that Microsoft's pc gaming efforts will not lead to a more open gaming market. The windows store version of call of duty can't even play with other pc gamers.
31.55% use multi monitor resolution 3840x1080. 1366x768 is laptops

Microsoft isn't migrating away from consoles. If they stopped making xbox they would be done with games. PC players don't want xbox live and they have no chance against android for mobile phone gaming. Besides they don't even make many games, they make money from third parties selling games on their platform
xbox 360 had the marketing rights for final fantasy 13 in the us. There was no mention of playstation at all in the commercials (these were during the nba all star game) but the ps3 version sold 70% of sales in the U.S. WW sales were something like 5-1

notice at the end of the commercial only xbox is shown where they list platforms
