the only problem with this is there is already a $399 blu ray player. the PS3. they need to do at least $250.
haha yeah they are so beatable, so beatable that the biggest movie parmount had still didnt help sell more HD DVD titles then old movies on blu ray. Paramount made a huge mistake and they know it.
everyone is forgettign about the PS3. yes ther eis a crappy $299 hd dvd player, but for $200 more you get a high quality video game and entertainmet system in the PS3. And do you really think blu ray wotn lower prices before the holidays? come on they are just waiting for it to get closer to december before they player there Ace.
im sorry this isnt positive for hd dvd. kart is know to sell cheap crap, so not the hd dvd player is $200 which equals cheap crap. as soon as blu ray gets that low they will sell it too. this is not a big deal.
a sell out at $200 was obviosly going to happen, but it wont help, im sure blu ray has a trump card up there leave that they are waiting to release right before black friday. i feel bad for all these people that just bought into a dieing product.

i think the blu ray fight is more important to Sony then the Ps3 fight. If blu ray wins, that means Sony get royalties on every single blu rya item sold no matter what it is or who makes it. thats BIG money.

Walmart Used to be looked at like Target is looked at now. Now walmart is know for cheap crappy stuff. Walmart will not Help HD DVD. Target on the other hand....
i agree with you, walmart has become the place for cheap garbage ever since Target became huge. I think alot f people will see this $200 player and think i ist some cheap waste of money when seen next to $400 blu ray players at Target.

has this rumor already been debunked by both microsoft and toshiba. and why the hell woudl it have an hdtv tuner in it? plus i thought microsoft said optical media is dead and they want to focus on downloads.
bay should have just stuck with his originally story of wanting transformers on blu ray. he could have had the same deal spielberg has, especially since spielberg is the transformers producer
totally, i mean how can peopel go into a store and see one company , toshiba, sellign a new type of player for $99 ( even though its for 1 day) when there are more then one company releasing blu ray players.
