The Walking Dead has always thrived on how groups of people interact with each ohter during trying times; it's what makes the player feel invested and the moral choices seem so tough. Therefore, focusing on one character does feel like taking a step backwards.
Thank you! Fight Night kicks ass! Why the hell aren't EA making a new one?
I would like to get Troy Baker to call me as Pagan Min in character. Just because it would be like I'm in a Far Cry game, and that would be pretty sweet.
Nintendo used to get away with not having good 3rd party support when it was the king of the industry. Now that Sony and Microsoft are their rivals, it's foolish that they're not trying to fix the issue.
It all depends on who you're funding. Peter Molyneux is the king of false promises, so people can't really act disappointed if he makes something that doesn't reach everyone's expectations.
Sometimes his style of writing can be a bit OTT for me, but he's definitely a visionary. He changed the face of gaming , and is the reason why most action games these days have stealth sections (for better or worse).
It's like someone watched that scene in Toy Story when Buzz performs all those acrobatics, and said "That would make a great game. It just needs some butt-sliding."
In fairness, it looks like it's done the trick. This game looks like a lot of fun.
I suppose it was only a matter of time before scammers exploited the Pay-to-Win market, with it growing at the exponential rate that it is.
Next we'll have shady back-alley dealers going "Hey, kid...you want some lives for Candy Crush?"
It's safe to say that this wasn't the direction that anyone expected Far Cry to take, but it makes sense. The Shangri-La missions of Far Cry 4 were probably testing the water, and they were the most interesting part of the game.
The problem was that the industry thought that players were done with single player campaigns, but there's clearly enough content there to make a campaign.
Just a few levels explaining the conflict between the two sides and why it had escalated to fighting using giant robots would've been nice.
I don't understand why Mirror's Edge has a following. It was an alright game, but all of its mechanics have been pulled off in better ways in other games.
Everyone said that Oblivion was great but would be better with dragons (because dragons make everything better), so Skyrim came along a few years later and blew everyone's minds.
I'm not sure what Bethesda can do to improve on Skyrim, but I have faith that they'll figure something out.
Who honestly gives a shit? This reminds me of when everyone was worried over Bioshock Infinite's generic cover art. It was all a big fuss over nothing, and it will be the same in this case.
I really like the setting of feudal Japan, and if it plays half as well as Bloodborne then we're in for a treat.
Also, this looks like a good way for Team Ninja to make up for the embarassingly easy Ninja Gaiden 3. They need to salvage their reputation a little bit.
Dishonoured 2 will definitely be there. It will be interesting to see, since they're planning on turning it into a franchise. DOOM looks brilliant; I can't wait to see what else Bethesda have got planned for it
It's one of the unspoken rules of the industry that Valve don't make 3rd entries to any of their series. It started off as superstition after no Half Life 3, but as time goes by it seems more likely to be true.
Looks like it's going to be a good 'un. I never rated Dying Light's story all that much, but there looks like there's plenty of stuff in the expansion to get hyped up about
I downloaded The Witcher 3 onto my PS4 at Christmas, and I haven't played it because I know that it stands a very good chance of consuming what's left of my free time.
I think we can take comfort in the fact that all of these series were huge inspirations to many developers. Having said that, it's still hugely disappointing that we'll never see "Silent Hills". That looked like it was a game changer.
I really like the visual style;it reminds me of Rez.
