Everyone who thinks this is the end of Sony is kidding this isn't all good on MS side either. Their GP subs aren't where they want them to be and they need to get moving this will help a lot but now they need even more subs.
This is all true but keeps in mind it can also backfire. As a Sony fan, this is interesting and smart all MS has to do is get the subs up. I feel at some point MS will stop making consoles then they aren't directly competing with Sony and we may at one point see GP on a Sony platform.
I get what he is saying in 3 to 5 years Xbox should have like 40 to 50 exclusive games lol. They don't really need 3rd party anymore but great for gamepass. This model is tricky and I give it to MS for giving it a go. At some point I don't think there will be an xbox and gamepass will be on PS console we will see though.
To be honest, Sony needs to buy Konami's IP, they are not doing anything with any of it anyway. It would benefit the gaming industry. Sony has a bunch of brand new 3rd party studios working on new IP exclusive to PS5.
I understand being happy for MS but to try and say Sony is dead now is very childish to say lol. They can get a huge check from MS but I think MS would rather spend that money like this buying studios with major IP they can throw on their service and keep. I agree, COD is exclusive to Xbox\PC and available day 1 for what 5.99 a month I don't see that happening if it does it won't be yearly releases. I think this will be competing more with steam than Sony or Nintendo but even then I am not sure how they plan on making their money back they will need a large number of subs. There are over 600 PSVR a lot of those are full games maybe not 20 hours but if done right a full game can be 8 or so hours plus there are full games you can play in VR like RE7. The rumor is that Sony is done with small VR games and will be going full AAA VR with the PSVR2 yes it is a rumor but the rumors about the spec turned out 99% true.
First off this was a reveal but not the big reveal funny how quickly people forget stuff this is similar to when they announced the PS5 name at CES and did the interview with wired and laid out the specs before the huge reveal. Instead, they just laid it all out at CES, we will get the big reveal with all the info we are looking for when they show us what it looks like just like they did with the PS5.
Did they have to remake the Moss game or the Batman VR game to get to work on steam with other VR headsets that are closer to PSVR2? I don't think so they had to remap the controls just like taking a PS game like GOW and mapping the controls to be able to work with mouse and keyboard right? This is how I got mine, my best friend got him and in November I tried it again to get a PS5 for my brother for Christmas and it worked again. A lot of the games were ported from other VR headsets to PSVR and a couple of VR games like Rocksteady's batman and that game Moss started on PSVR and got ported to steam. So it can be done the question is if the studios will do it. More than likely games that sold well will port over but I doubt sense will work.
Sony has 27 VR games made by their studio out of like 700 games or so. They probably want to see what devs are going to port their stuff over before giving an answer. If they say yes and port their stuff and no other studio port their games it will be a lie.
I think it is the retailer's fault 100% they should have a captcha and a limit of one per cart if a high-demand item. The people making the argument that if someone got an extra console somehow is a reach, in that scenario people normally just trying to get rid of it not sell for 3x the value. This may never end if people keep buying at this price I am still trying to buy weights lol.

Remember Destiny is supposed to go for 10 years? Well, that 10 years almost up wonder if they will move on or not. I would think they would want to move on to another game. In their statement they did mention Sony buying them will allow them to grow so they can still work on Destiny and make something else.
