Is that supposed to be funny? @_@
Get them laid..
Dieing? Why would anyone listen to anything you have to say? Go learn to spell!!!
It WAS the strongest gaming brand. PS2 sold 100 million units+ and xbox sold like 20 million units. This gen its much more even. Looks like M$ could build themselves a gap due to PSN outage.
And as news4geeks says, this gen has been a major loss for Sony, they have lost a heck of a lot of the market to M$ and Nintendo.
lol @ reports on all pending Sony related news.
Agreed! I can assure Meat person that the media is much more interested in a global event rather than PSN being down for 20-30 million people (as if 77 million, I have 4 accounts myself). It was a great day, and nice to watch - thanks PSN for being down, I got to watch it rather than playing online.
Your naive friend.
Sony took 3 days to tell us that something abnormal was even happening. They didn't say f' all for 3 days, then it was something to do with some part of Playstation in Japan, then it was hackers, then.. oh yeah they got your personal details and cc info (encrypted or not). I refuse to believe a word of what Sony says. I'm just being vigilant and protecting myself. Sony have really lost my confidence. Hopefully PSN will come back strong, but I a...
That is true L_S but if you think about it, I have 4 accounts, I think the address is 13 Bullsh*t Street, Made up ville, CA, I have 2 accounts which has cc info linked too and those 2 accounts also have REAL personal details. The other 2 have just made up and googled post codes, so I think that 77 Million users is a bit of an over exaggeration. I know a lot of people with multiple accounts, to seek the advantages of other regions PS stores.
Lol nooooo, the 24 Billion was a forecast overall cost for everything as in worst case senario - ie they have to reimburse everyone to the max. I don't even believe it would be true if that were the case.
@ BH
Do you feel better after saying that?
Who knows, maybe I'll get both consoles. Better prepare for disagrees this is N4G - an increasing unpleasant place to talk about gaming and more about bashing other peoples opinion because it isn't pro PS3 (Even though I only own a PS3!!)
Well I'm considering changing, so a certain percentage of other PS users, must be thinking it as well. People aren't idiots, they have different opinions.
*Edit* - I didn't realize he was trolling, and I don't approve of trolling by my message, but my opinion on switching consoles remains the same.
Hardly, I just watched it, and they literally spoke on it for about 30 seconds.
A lot less convenient though
I don't know why your all on emerge's tail, he's right.
Clearly if they managed to hack the system, it automatically can be deemed as a terrible security system as it failed to do its job.
Really? Must be American sense of humour, because that was rubbish to me and some of the worst acting I've seen in a while.
It could also mean that PSN could be back up by today [resumed within a week from yesterday] but who really knows, Sony still won't give a ETA, but after the reading the news coming in the past 24 hours, sounds like progress is being made, and it shouldn't be too much longer.
Its just a shame because I leave back to uni (no PS3 online until July) on Saturday :/ Thanks Hackers and Sony.
... are you blind?
This problem won't disappear as soon as Sony brings PSN back up, I'd imagine this whole fiasco will be in the minds of consumers (for next gen) and investors for a while to come.
*Edit* - RRoD was a hardware failure, that M$ replaced. Whats Sony going to do, ask the hackers for our personal details back? It's a whole different kind of problem, but I agree that RRoD will be in peoples minds for next gen.
They have committed a federal crime, by waiting so long to tell us, its law to inform customers of a breach of security and they played us the fool - saying it was nothing (maintenance), then something to do with the Japan Disaster, then they are rebuilding and OH SH*% HACKERS GOT YOUR CC AND PERSONAL INFO!!! And they don't even say sorry or tell us anything to do with when PSN will be made available again
Hi.
