Of course they did. CoD4, was probably the best multiplayer experience I've had on PS3. As Dart said, balanced weapons and killstreaks, and brillant maps.
Ha, don't make me laugh, BO had the worst frame rate drops I've seen in my life, it ran at 40 fps if you were lucky on consoles and with vsync 40 fps is no different to 30 fps. AND CoD has much lower texture resolution and probably on the whole worse graphics than BF.

Firmware updates can cause your console to overheat, but you wouldn't think this update would seen as it was all just security measures and they probably didn't edit anything to do with fan speeds or anything like that in the update.
FW can go wrong as well, I remember one xbox update causing peoples xbox's to completely brick and they had to get new ones sent to them.

They screwed up, thats my opinion. And welcome back or anything they say won't make it better. You wouldn't expect something like this from the masters of video games for the past decade.
Yeah right... no matter how secure a system, some tw@t is always going to try (and probably will) find a way in. Every system has a weakness, there is no perfect system.

If MW3 turns out to be good I will be picking that and BF3 (if console gameplay is anywhere close to the gameplay they have shown for PC) up. Hopefully with EA bringing the fight Acti will be forced to raise their game.

I'm not a CoD fanboy, I loved 4 and since then no CoD was ever as good. But I think its unfair to judge a game before anything has been released about it (other than a trailer and screenshot). For all we know it could be the biggest and best CoD to date. We simply don't know.

One console doesn't limit the other.
360 can make good looking games, PS3 can make good looking games too. As soon as it goes multiplat, they cannot get close to how their exclusives look. Not because PS3 is limited by 360 or 360 is limited by ps3, they both limit each other.
