Journey and Walking Dead were great games. But this is all a matter of opinion. For me, my favorite game of the year was Faster than Light, but that's just my opinion. But when these more independent games beat out the mainstream titles, that's always a good sign for the future of gaming.

-i like what the article says about open world stuff...could be cool w/ some really difficult spots to reach...hope they can find a team of people who know how to do that though
-more multiplayer functionality...maybe a capture the flag kinda thing w/ team based parkour elements. could be neat.

Sony was coming off of the most successful console in history, the PS2. They wanted to maintain that dominance by increasing the risks. They completely overshot with the price point so instead of riding the momentum of their brand name recognition, they alienated a huge portion of their demographic. It was just too much for the normal consumer to handle. Instead they went to the 360 or PC, and some even went to the Wii. Loyalists stayed, but don't deny that a high percentage of ex-PS...

Yes, such a wonderful game. I'm glad people are still supporting it and its legacy. If you haven't played it, and you enjoyed Mass Effect, you should play it. Devs at EA credited SC2 as the predecessor to Mass Effect. It's such a monumental game.
