This is a great post and an excellent read.
I believe that Nintendo needs to do a few key things to gain some ground this gen.
Firstly... An Image Change. People are still confused on the hardware and what it does. They need to market this as the "Wii 2". A whole new console, and successor to the Wii. With a new controller, more power, and compatability with old Wii accessories.

This is still not as big as FFXIII coming to 360. Remember that?
Sony doesn't need MS's exclusives to steal headlines and E3. It's a good game yes, and it will be good for it to come to PS4. With all the games though, this isn't as important (IMO)

This is just one such article of many on hardware and software sales. I know these are launvh numbers, but this trend continues in sales for XB1 and PS4.
Actually consoles are selling more year on year and month on month.
At this stage in the life cycle, every console (except the Wii U) is selling more than its predecessor. This is across borders, and with less tripple A games.
I'm looking forward to see what developers do with this!

Some points you choose to forget:
1) TitanFall is Free in the UK with XBONEs.
2) The XBONE is now £100 lower than at Launch
3) No new games to play on XBONE, so TitanFall will have a long slow burn in terms of Sales.
4) Story much more different in the rest of Europe, which vastly outweighs the UK Market.
The thing is we see XBONE loyalist mention TitanFall and ignoring that VGC has the PS4 three million ahead, and outselling in the US.
This same site that adjusted its numbers upwards for PS4 everytime the NPDs and Sony announces something.
How it is possible for the XBONE to outsell the PS4 in April, when it didn't do it in March? The XBONE was bundled with TitanFall, and the console price was lower... That is less of the case in April. I think some p...

This is not a debate on PS vs XBOX. Genuinely there is nothing else coming to Xbox in the near furture ... There are many more games to play on PS4... they may not be your type of game, but the PS4 has many more games...
Outlast, Warframe, DC universe, MLB the Show, Numerous Indies... plus more incoming.
TitanFall is an awesome game. The reason it will stay on the chart is because there is anything coming soon. Not in a negative, but factual way.

Although I've liked what's been shown so far, I am not blown away. However, I haven't played it to give a proper opinion or run down.
We still have a good few months before launch. I will be picking this up. I like the developer and the games they've made.

Everytime numbers are posted.. whether its consoles or games, the first thing mentioned is TitanFall... smh
