Ummm... many games had cover system before Gears. They just made it main stream with a big AAA franchise.

Yes, but Sony bought those shares to support Square when they were in trouble. Now that Square are profitable, Sony has sold them. So it was done as a favor first and foremost. Plus those shares didn't give Sony any powers in terms of decision making.

Not because of game is small, or you've never heard of it makes it a bad game.
The great thing about this Industry is variety and choice. Big games, small games, multiple genres... rich and diverse. However, MS would have you believe that only shooters and AAA matters.
As gamers we have choice on who and what we support. Make sure its a good one.
Rather than supporting innovation and Indie studios, MS instead buys Third party from the likes of EA.
This is why I cannot trust MS and their "new face". Suddenly they're all about games. Then you'll hear them talk about the X1 being the all in one device again. They want to be all things to all people, jack of all... master of now. So their wallet makes up the slack.

People tend to forget that Sony presents at 3 conferences each year... and everytime there is something else announced or not previously shown...
Sony's E3, Gamescom and TGS. These will all have announcements and new games which we haven't heard of yet. I know more eyes are on E3, but Europe is Sony's biggest market, and no doubt they will be holding back some exclusives.

I personally think It will be a game that will have appeal in the US, but not so much Europe. MS have already lost there, with sales being 4:1 for PS4.
I may just be trying to make sense of them buying games again and hoping more than logic. It's MS. Paying to keep games off other systems is what they do best.
