@Foehammer
I think what you fail to see is that MS started this trend last gen... they changed what the term exclusive means with terms like "timed exclusive", "content first", "console only DLC", "console exclusive" and now with TR "exclusive this holiday". They also started the marketing deals with publishers
It began with Splinter Cell, and then in a bigger with GTA 4, and even deeper with COD. It makes...
Isn't it the same for Dead Rising? Ryse, TF, Sunset Overdrive... ? Most of the exclusives released by MS are not their IPs. Infact if I'm not mistakes its only Forza and H:MCC were their first party IPs.
Some of those games can come to other platforms too.. because money.
Yes I agree just strange with all the articles about multiplats etc, and the general commentay on PS4 vs XB1. But hey a lot of people don't really follow the industry and just buy what they see on paper.
This was a good read. I actually tried to post it earlier, but was beaten.
A lot of converts to the PS4 from Wii and 360 it seems.
Also the reasons for buying an XB1 differs greatly from the PS4. Surprisingly "more processing power" is higher for the XB1 portion... What? Where are they getting their information from?
This is a MUST BUY... Day one.
The Witcher 3 and this in the same month? May will be huge!
SFV was not IN development for any system yet. TR and TF was. Big difference here.
I think it will be more than 10 million. MS would have had to subsidise the sales forecast of the game's sales on PS4 during the holiday season... and not just in the US. The game would sell about 1 million or more during this time.
That puts the deal about $50 million. Also MS will be funding marketing and promotion. This could fund an NEW IP from MS first party studios.
MS should pay to create new games, and stop paying to avoid other people playi...
Regardless of the update features, whether it has developer tools or not, its not just the XB1 that will keep on fine tuning things for more performance.
Well my Shadow price definitely feels weaker. What a shame. I cannot play crucible anymore. I hate pulse rifles, shot guns and fusion rifles.
Auto and Sniper for me. Oh well time to play another game.
Firstly, let me reiterate... I LIKE the game. Not because I like the game means that its perfect. This game is far from it. NO they never sold it as open environemnts, nor was I expecting this. I am merely stating that the world IS huge, the draw distances and phenomenal... However most things you see you can't interact with.
And the genre you mentioned... This is another issue with the game... is it a shooter? Is it an interactive story? I love both. However, the first...
That only happens to trolling on articles... making points that have nothing to do with the topics presented.
I lost a bubble posting my opinions on Kinect and MS's strategy... it goes both ways.
A lot of disagrees on the comments in this topic, but no one actually voicing a disagreemnt...?
I like the game so far... the story is great, better than most shooters. The art style, visuals and world is very very emmersive. I have never seen a game look this good. The acting and voice cast is also phenomenal. I know because I played it to completion.
Yes it's short, and there are too many QTEs. The world is very limiting, with little exploration. Wi...
So this clears things up. The game would've still existed without MS. It was already in development for other consoles. MS will assit in the marketing push and exposing the game. No doubt there will be bundles over XMAS with TR... "Exclusive this holiday on Xbox"
SFV would not have happened without Sony... or at least not yet. This game was not in development on other systems yet. Big difference here from funding game devlopment vs short term partnerships that...
@theFro
The Walking Dead and TellTale games say hello. Some of the best games and stories I've had the pleasure of playing. Yes playing.
@vega275
You clealy fail to see the point of the "paying for exclusives", or keeping games off other platforms. TF and TR were both in active development for the PS4. Infact Respawn didn't even know about the deal with MS until the last moments. This is well documented. SFV was not. This game was made in development with Sony... like DR and Ryse. They may not own the IP, but they are helping with publishing.
As I said before...
<...
At least its playable... unlike the broken MCC, which is still being sold at it's launch price.
The Sniper wolf one beats all of these... Also check out her MGS quiet cosplay.

The PS+ version is still coming... the game itself NOW runs well. I am not debating broken games, I am debating game lenghts. MCC is still broken. That's not the debate. This is Sony vs MS... BF4 also took 6 months or more to actually work!
Have you played The Order to know it sucks? MCC collection and BF4... broken, as well as DC. What does this have to do with lenght? It does speak though for quality and review scores. Some got great reviews when core elements didnt w...
Square Enix confirmed that the MS deal has a duration. If this was an all out exclusive... as in forever on consoles, the tag line would not say "Exclusive this Holiday on Xbox". It would say console exclusive, without the holiday tag line. I'd much rather see MS use their money to invest in new IPs and first party development, rather than buying multiplats to keep them off other systems.
Basically the TF money and TR money could have brought a new franchise, ...
Wow... those commenters are so ill-informed. EA Access is on Xbox because Sony turned it down. No money deal was made here. People rage and react on no information.
Shoudn't the people who pay for Access get these kind of deals? After all, this is what they are paying for, and this is the attraction to the service. This will be the same for BF and other EA games.
