At least it's a upgrade and does most things faster and better than it's predecessor. Something we can't say for all consoles this gen.
I think the PS4 will pass 100 million. To the match the PS2 though will be some feat as that GEN was quite long, and continued well into the 360 and PS3 era. Also, Sony is yet to lower the PS3 price to the levels of the PS2... Will they do the same with the PS4 when next gen comes around?

399 for PSVR would be okay I think... Sony needs to convince people to pick up PSVR instead of a second console. Compelling variety and numerous games will do this, but it needs good marketing and kiosks to do this.
I'll get one if its between 399 and 499. No more though.
I'd buy for 399 if there is enough software support and other experiences. Imagine a space tour? Mars? Watching any movie on a massive screen? Or play compatible normal games on a massive screen? If I can own all the consoles last gen or anyone considering a second console...consider PSVR. I'm excited for this step in tech and gaming. I hope it survives.
Quantum Break and Gears 4 are the ones I really want. Don't think Crackdown or Recore will be 2016.

If UC 4 comes out and sells a million then it would be deemed a flop... TR is out on the 360 too and did a million? Such an awesome game too... What a shame.
Tomb Raider 2013 did better during its debut and Halo normally does 3+ million in its first month NPD alone.... This was not the case with these releases.

Good games? Ethan Carter, Rapture, Until Dawn, Tearaway Unfolded all came out in the latter part of the year. While MS sacrifices Tomb Raider for the "greatest games line up in Xbox history" and still doesn't make a dent worldwide. Let's talk facts here:

I am not sure this is enough for Square though... maybe the investment from MS for development and marketing and the influx of cash from the timed exclusivity made it worthwhile in the end... However, I can't shake that feeling that Rise of the TR was the sacrificial lamb to pimp MS's "Best games line up in Xbox History" slogan.

I wish this had a clean month with no competing exclusives or third parties. Hard though as 2016 is a big exclusives year for Sony. Purchase everyone... and enjoy!
