I concur. The multiplayer was broken (still is for lots of people), yet none of the reviews commented on this.

Reviewers are paid off (gamespot much?), but that doesn't effect sales at all. People know whether they're buying these games months in advance.

p.s. Why is there loading at all? Isn't that why I installed it to my hard drive?

Once again, uncharted owns. Uncharted had brilliant graphics with lots of NPCs on screen, yet it had not install ...

I'm guessing the game in question had more to do with the suspension more so than the downloading of it. Also, since these were campus computers, the kids should have known better. Go home and download games.

Just because a comment is ABOUT race does not make it RACIST. Nothing about what he said is offensive. Let's define:

Racist = I spent all my money on watermelon, drugs, and guns, so I couldn't afford all 3 consoles.

Not racist = I'm white enough to afford all three consoles.

See the difference?

@haruvister

#9 - split screen is absolutely viable. COD4, Warhawk, Resistance, and any number of other games have split screen. They had split screen in San Andreas. Since when is stripping features 'next gen.'

Sure, this article has some problems, but I think the lack of local multiplayer is a severe oversight.

or maybe he just sold her their last copy - He could have just been wrong the first time.

Maybe she was fourth in line and the other 3 people bought GTA4. There's lots of reasons this could have happened. I highly doubt there was anything nefarious going on...

He didn't sell him the game because he wasn't the kid's legal guardian. If I walk into a liquor store with my 15 year old son, then I can buy all the alcohol I want. If a frat boy walks into a liquor store with his 15 year old brother, no sale. This case is the second one. Same with cigarettes and porn. Saying "No, it's for me" doesn't absolve you of anything.

You're not "way off," but there's no discrimination here. The younger kid was too young to pl...

It's actually more like a liquor store not selling you booze because you have a 15 year old with you. It's like a convenience store not selling you cigarettes because you're with your buddies who are underage. Or like a movie theater refusing to sell tickets to R-rated movies to minors. All of those situations are entirely legal and NOT prejudiced.

Your logic is way off. The teller was 100% in the right here. Not that EBgames does much right, but this isn't that big of a deal...

I'd rather steal a poor quality movie off bittorrent than wait for a giant file to download from the XBL marketplace.

500gb HDD are not "cheap as hell," especially since the average Joe doesn't know what an external HDD is, let alone digital distribution.

I'm already spending $30 a month on my broadband, how much more can a family of 4 spend in order to get a 4gb HD movie in 15 minutes?

DD will take off, but not at the sake of physical medi...

DD will never work until people have much faster internet connections and massive HDDs. How many HD movies can I fit on my 360's 20gb HDD? 3.5 maybe? Not to mention I have to let them download overnight. If I'm going to do that, I'll just steal the freaking movie off the internet.

DD is coming down the road, but the same Joe Average who isn't upgrading to bluray has no idea what digital distribution is. He's probably lucky to put pictures from his new digital camera onto his...

I've never had any of the problems he brings up in the article. Every BD has played on my ps3 always and without loading times. I rent all my BDs through netflix, so they're no higher for me (yet). I'm not sure what his beef is with DRM. Everything you buy will play on your player, DRM'd or not. Whatever dude...

I don't buy games when something like this happens. I can play Halo 3 with a buddy in the same room online against other people. If my ps3 can do warhawk, and my 360 can do Halo 3, then both systems should be able to do GTA4.

Why would I want to sit and watch my buddy play online? Why would he want to sit and watch me? Should we REALLY have to be on different systems to enjoy a multiplayer game? This same issue ruined burnout:paradise for me. If my wife and I can't play a...

It's the crappy DRM. For some reason, they put their DRM on the media update to play Divx. They didn't actually put the Divx functionality on the dashboard update, so you have to download a separate update. Then, if your console craps out on you, you have to be constantly logged in to use it. Poor, poor planning.

with most of what he said.

1080p will eventually be really popular (I think...)

But I use media sharing all the time, especially since both ps3 and 360 play DIVX, now. I never, ever used it before (because the 360 couldn't play any of my movies), but now I stream stuff constantly. The ps3 streams some of my stuff, so I usually just use the 360 because I know it'll play.

Skype was much hyped, but I think not much used. I thought it would be really cool...

This article was almost impossible to read. It's like the author used babelfish to translate it. It's just run-on after run-on after run-on.

The consumers who are from California? You mean the "Californian consumers?"

Glitching is entirely separate from gamerscore cheating. Gamerscore cheating is so arbitrary, I wonder why M$ even cares. Who does care? Who are they satisfying with this? Their own egos because they think we care about gamerscore?

If they stopped glitchers, that would be something special. But, now, they're just attaching scarlet letters to people with high gamerscores. Woopidy doo M$, thanks a lot.

Where's my clan blade, by the way?

It's not necessarily the controls that are the problem. The troop and vehicle controls are just like halo or resistance or any shooting game, but flying is freaking hard. I had no idea how to lock on for a week. I knew I had homing missiles and I was wondering how to use them until somebody on the ps3 forums said to hold down L1 all the time.

The most frustrating part was the constant "missile lock" warnings. I had to go to youtube to figure out how to evade them....

I've had the 360 for awhile, and just got a ps3 in November (wanted a bluray player).

It's pretty simple for me. I get any multiplats on the 360 because I like the achievements, ingame messaging, and that's where most of my friends are.

The only games I've got on the ps3 are uncharted and warhawk. I'm fine with that until littlebigplanet comes out.

Early adopters always get screwed. The 360 and ps3 have been through many iterations. The DS and PSP have had upgrades. How about iphone early adopters? New technology comes out all the time, this is neither new nor is it even NEWS. Wow, technology is improving and some early adopters are getting screwed. Old news, that's what you get for being an early adopter.

p.s. I'm pretty sure launch BD players will still play BR discs, they just won't be able to access the 2.0 featu...

Doesn't more time invested mean a higher skill level? Shouldn't veteran players always kill lesser experienced ones? I don't really see the difference. I guess I'm not familiar with MMOs.
