There needs to be a 'madden 09' or a 'tiger woods 09' spaces where I can meet up with other users and game launch right into this.
I'm sure poker will be really exciting, same with race cars, but where is the stuff that was supposed to ship with home? Namely game launching...

When redbull went live, I didn't even redownload anything. I suppose when this comes out, I won't reredownload anything again...
Unless you don't want/need bluray, a wireless connection, a HDD, or internet gaming.
That would actually make the ps3 the worst value in gaming because you'd be getting a lot of needless stuff.

N4G doesn't have any unique/original content so it NEEDS media like egm/1up to exist.
Now, if egm and 1up can't produce good enough material to sell, that's got nothing to do with n4g or metacritic. It's not like somebody goes to walmart, sees egm sitting there, and decides NOT to get it because he can go home and get on n4g.
The other companies pack in games, too.
MGS4 and Uncharted both are packed in with ps3s now.
360s had forza/marvel ultimate alliance and now kung fu panda and whatever the other stupid game is.
Pack in doesn't matter much, even if wii sports is a glorified tech demo...

I'd actually like a really stripped down OS. All I do is type on word, use the internet, and download the occasional movie and mp3. You can save all the other foolishness...When they invent that, let me know.

Directv has an assload of HD channels, but I think their HD DVR sucks.
Dish is vice versa. Great hardware, but their HD offerings are behind right now.

Fallout 3 is one of the best games I've played since oblivion (considering it's pretty much oblivion with guns...that's fine by me).

The trailer last year was nails, so I've been anxiously awaiting it.
Now I get this, and it's nothing at all like the trailer I saw (and still have on the HDD).
Once they took away headset support and starting issuing bans willy-nilly, I figured there's not much of a reason for me to use home anymore.
I think one of the problems is that it's always packed. I've never, ever gotten to play bowling, chess, or checkers. Outside of that, i'm not sure what there is to do except walk around.
BTW, the sony avatars are FAR from customizable. There are about 6 shirts and 6 pants to choose from. After that, you can't even change the color of your clothes. There are always about a dozen other guys dressed the exact same as me walking around.

Every single movie I've downloaded (all legal...of course) has played on my 360.
Only about half of them have played on my ps3.
I wonder how 'official' the 'official' the divx functionality is. If the xbox ever goes 'official' I hope they don't change anything because I'd hate to not be able to watch all my movies I've downloaded (legally).
