I have seen the videos. It doesn't mean that they are QTE. Cage uses the term QTE because it is easier to understand than what it is. Real QTEs have only one outcome and are repeatable if failed, Heavy Rain is not. Indigo Prophesy is the same way, except that there are more traditional QTEs in it.
Where are the QTEs? I haven't seen a single one in all the previews. There is something similar, but not the traditional "press X to not die" QTE. Don't confuse game mechanics with QTE. QTEs are placed when a developer doesn't want to or doesn't have take the time to implement the controls necessary to allow the player to control the action. QTEs have only one outcome and if you fail, you repeat it until you succeed. Heavy Rain has none of that.
No, just making a joke. When somebody says something stupid, they should be mocked. Besides, my comment was the correct interpretation of what meerkat typed.
Be a hater... Not a gamer.
Maybe the preorders are low because PS3 gamers aren't stupid. Preordering does nothing but give free money to whoever you preorder with. I can go into Walmart or Best Buy day 1 for any game and pick up a copy, all without preordering. But whatever makes you happy.
My dead? My dead what? I'll kindly thank you to mind your own damn business about my dead.
I don't know which is funnier, the idiots in the open zone that think it was ODST that "delayed" Heavy Rain or the morons that think Heavy Rain was delayed. Last time I checked Heavy Rain never had an official 2009 release date. I know they were aiming for the end of the year but it was never confirmed for 2009.
Too bad the 360 can only do RROD. Stop being an idiot. If you were to ask anyone about "YLOD", most people woule just look at you funny, whereas you ask about RROD, most people would know exactly what you are talking about. After all, it was all over the morning news shows.
Should they modify it to "It only does everything that actually matters"?
Another update, another article about how it screws up. Nothing new here. I seriously doubt that this is a widespread issue. My PS3 has been working fine since I downloaded it.
I'ts not full price, it's $40. It's the same as it would cost to buy both GOW 1&2 new at retail.
Where have you been? SquareEnix has been pimping out remakes of all their old games. Repeatedly. They just haven't done FF7 and up yet but given enough time I'm sure they will.
You forgot: "Be a hater, not a gamer."
This is not "Halo 3 Hatred". This is the fact that this article is talking about water graphics and effects in games and Halo 3 beat Uncharted (a game that has revolutionay interaction with water-- For example, if your character only goes waist deep in water, the model only shows half of him being wet. Most games have either a "wet" or a "dry" model. Uncharted has dynamic "wetness") and Bioshock, a game that takes place underwater and has very good wate...
So the only way a game is good is if it has an online portion? Now an online portion can increase the longevity of a good game, but for samll or indie developers, there is a reason they're small or indie. It's usually because they're not that good at it.
EDIT above: Why do people pay for Live? Seriously? Live might have some cool features that PSN "lacks", but people don't pay for the features. They pay for one reason and one reason only: If you want to play online, y...

Welcome to teh interwebz. Please read: http://www.merriam-webster....
Thanks.
Do you have any tinfoil I could borrow?
Always with the "Halo Haterade". It's just like the PS3 hate, only it's real, right?
Maybe people don't like Halo (and COD) because the games are overhyped. Instead of being treated like really good games with some minor flaws, they're treated like: OMFG!!!!!! It'z teh GREATEST Gamez EVAR!!!!
Guess what? They're not. That, in combination with Activision vying for the title of World's Biggest Asshat, people are more cynical when it comes to MW2.
