If they are testing with PS3 users now Are they going to roll out to PS4 users later?
Well we are talking about MS here. Consumer logic was absent from MS this past year. You would think it would be a no brainer but the same was said in the early part of last year with people saying MS would never implement DRM and always online.
What games right now make the Kinect a worthwile inclusion to the box? Crickets... As far as I can see it's a fancy UI remote control. If MS and 3rd parties are not supporting it then it will be worthless. Sorry, maybe things will change but this is someone who got burned by the 1st Kinect and I wont be fooled again.
Sony did say they will have some things to show at GDC.
MS never comments on rumors or speculation but they did with this. Whether it's true or not it will really damage their sales if everyone holds off for the cheaper model.
I knew the 360 version was going to be close to the One version especially since Bluepoint is in charge of the port. I got a bunch of disagrees the last time I posted about this so bring them on fanboys!
Considering games are now reaching 50gb they better have a 1TB drive.
Sales are going to plummet after people hear about this. The stars are just not aligned for MS this past year.
It's funny because I thought the same exact thing this morning when I saw Microsoft's ad.
I remember the SNES vs. Genesis days where Nintendo had to get edgy and mature in order to compete with the Genesis because they were getting whomped by Sega with the older demographic. Mortal Kombat 1 on SNES had green blood and then 2 had red blood and all of the fatalities.
It's definitely all for show. The investors want to see some blood after that earnings call.
Nintendo epitomizes what is wrong with the Japanese gaming industry. There is definitely a disconnect between them and the gamers. You go on the comment sections of game websites and people are yelling "take my money!" for games that will never be: A) released or B) released outside of Japan. They seem to think they know what the gamers want.
Edit: Add Square/Enix into that as well.

There were rumors that BT was not producing and they were 6 months behind schedule. Maybe they were floundering creatively and that's why MS decided to give them an established franchise.
Well then, this just reaffirmed my decision to go with PS4 this generation. I was conflicted by the promise of this new IP being on the caliber of Halo.
I can just sense that there is going to be an uproar because there wont be too much of a difference between the 360 and the One versions. Maybe less AI and not as many particle effects.
Truefan is butthurt because Plus offers a ridiculous value for $50 a year and you don't even need it to play a lot of the F2P games and now ESO. Gold on the other hand nets you a 3 year old + game every month and that's about it. I have both and Plus kills it.
