After playing the demo, i had a feeling if meh... I mean come on they took an extra 6 months and yet they deliver an underwhelming singleplayer experience. I know I am judging the demo, but when the release date is just a few days ahead, I don't expect to see much of a change. The AI was ok, the graphics were not good enough, the animation was jerky and the voice acting was worse than I have seen in recent games.

Now they are taking this out of context, never did they say that mgs4 maxed out ps3 capabilities, all they said that they are using ps3's high capabilities to make this game as story, visuals, and music masterpiece.

I still don't get it, you release a console a year ahead of everyone and then expect oh well we have a bigger installbase so we win. If you just compare the data of how many 360 were sold in its first year and how many ps3 were sold in its first year, you can clearly make out that ps3 is catching up pretty quickly.

Yeah i agree with you. Ratchet was an amazing game so was uncharted but its reviews didn't do justice with the game quality. Similarly look at Heavenly Sword, it was an amazing game and had solid combat, but they bashed it for its length etc. This time with MGS4 they will say "to long", not enough variety, confusing story etc. etc. Someday I wish, someone just hack there servers and blow everything up.
Yeah, I think he confirmed twisted metal for ps3 & I guess he confirmed it for 2009 release. So you can add that as another exclusive to PS3 in 2009.

Nothing is perfect, but MGS4 is one of those games where the bad is so unnoticeable. The game is going to be Game of the Year and if it gets any bad reviews then its pretty much obvious how bad the gaming press is these days.

Personally I was looking forward to this game, but 80% and by reading the previews one can assume that this game is currently lacking dept. The whole vehicle creation and customization concept sounds pretty cool. Unfortunately people are going to compare this game with Ratchet and LBP and from what has been shown this game does lack in depth not to mention graphics.

Well with PS2 we saw what developer did in 2007 wasn't even remotely possible with PS2 in 2000. So it will take time for developers to do stuff with PS3. Plus imagine when Sony will allow developers to overclock the cell processor. By the way MGS4 doesn't have poor textures, if you are looking for insane amount of details then you should watch cgi movies instead of playing games;)
That affects 360 gamers because they find out that a bigger and better version of the game is available on the pc 6 months later. Its a very long debate that yeah but one can't afford to upgrade the pc every 6 months and all that stuff, but don't you think it just kills the meaning of exclusives? Why do you buy multiple console. I bought them for exclusives. Not saying anyone has better or worse exclusives but exclusives are what defines the system. I own both consoles and I bought the 360 to...
I usually don't care about the graphics but seriously this game looks really bad. I mean come on this game looked better in the first footage released back last year.:| Did it get a graphics degradation.
I remember reading somewhere in an interview with Epic's some guy said that Gears of War uses 90% of 360 power and bla bla, and I know it was there first game so they must have optimized a lot to reduce that number this time around. But yeah we aren't seeing any breakthrough graphics on 360, like we are seeing at ps3. Look at R1 then Ratchet and Uncharted and then MGS4 and R2 and Killzone 2 and just imagine for one sec. how will God Of War 3 will look like;)
Well it actually it sucks for us 360 gamers, because every great exclusive game on the 360 end up releasing on pc.
The game looks fun but graphically it needs a lot of work. I mean come on from character models to environments nothing really make it compete against other titles from the same genre.

I was really hoping this game will release in 2008. I mean apart from NG2, Fable2 and Gears 2, microsoft doesn't have any good exclusives:(
Well my harddisk died on me last week, so I bought a new one and installed vista on it, unexpectedly it is running quite well. I haven't faced any problems so far.
Well it would be cool if they allow the user to create videos with the developers putting specific efforts on it. I mean the system should all the video recording and put that feature in the ingame xmb that they are going to release at some point in time :D
