Regarding refresh rates.....I did double check the specs cuz I could swear I read it before but the Galaxy s7 screen is locked at a 60hz refresh rate so thats not fully true about allowed apps.... : )

I just got my free Gear VR with my new S7 and do think its an excellent gateway to VR.
However, I am on the fence about getting a Rift right now (I currently have the rig to run it) and I did find out that the Rift in fact has a worse PPI than the S7 does.

Sony will close studios too I'm sure and there wont be nearly as much fallout as this. HOWEVER, Sony has a pretty good track record of pushing out a variety of games and studios while MS has fewer to hang their hat on which is why studio closers will have a larger impact regardless of the reasons why.

Unfortunately gaming will hit a plateu. Theres only so many "new" things you can do. This Gen is really about just refining and expanding upon last gen's games.

I was hesitant about this game. However, after about 16 hours, I can say that this and Far Cry Blood Dragon are my favorites in the series.

Im sorry but there is no "perception" here. I have a Shield tablet and the Tegra K1 is already more powerful than a PS3 or Xbox 360 and you can output to a TV (talkin tablet here)which I can and do at 1080P on a 60" so this is patently false.
Keep in mind mobile displays are at the standard of about 1440P these days. Size of the screen doesnt mean anything, its the pixel count along with the textures themselves and there are some damn goodlooking mobile games...
I beleive the thinking was that now consoles use PC architecture and DX12 and Vulkan allow much easier porting of games, there shouldn't be a reason why you couldn't upgrade a console every couple years.

Im personally very torn on this issue and have switched how I felt about it often. On one hand, it's a great way for people to play games they may of missed last gen without having to haul out the old consoles.
On the other hand, these side studios could be making their own content and giving us new experiences. The potential for distractions are there as well.

I've personally not had durability issues with either. On the video image you can see the dirt. Granted, controllers just get nasty anyways and there isn't much you can do about it. Putty works sometimes.

I enjoyed BO3 Single player as it was much meatier than some pervious entries and was pretty enjoyable overall.
I don't think they will go away from SP, however, I do think they may tinker with the sales model and maybe offer a less expensive multiplayer only version of the game while still offering the complete version as well.
Sounds fair to me at least.
