Played the demo on both systems. I think it looks fine and console-only folks should be good with it. I am personally holding out for a PC port.....game is gorgeous and craves the option of high-end hardware! I know they haven't announced anything but they haven't straight-up said there are no plans for PC.
Definitely tempering myself for this. Looks like a great game to just chill out in for an hour or two.
Haven't seen a game so devisive since Quantum Break (which I personally found kind boring). Looking forward to this on PC so I can finally find out if it was worth the wait.
Here's hoping for a smooth release but these days it's hard to not be skeptical. Looking for better draw distances, smooth framerate, and mods at some point.
Way to downplay the U.S. considering it is, by far, the single largest consumer of gaming content on the planet.
Why can't you just give credit where credit is due and just appreciate the fact that gaming is thriving and not going anywhere anytime soon?
Everyone knows the Xbox isn't outselling the PS4. The only people "blowing up" over it are people like you that never intend to purchase one in the first place and feel the need to be s...
Sweet!
Alpha had a lot of promise but had some rough spots IMO. Looking forward to seeing the improvements!
Hard to rank these games. I will put Demons Souls and all the Dark Souls games on one segment as they each do things well over one another but are mostly similar games.
I will however, put all of them above Bloodborne. I'm not saying it was bad by any means as it still nailed enemies and atmoshpere but it was the most shallow of all the games to me. The lack of weapons, armor, multiplayer really underwhelmed me, especially when you did get the rare invasion, everyone...
@thrust
Didn't you know? if you have a PS4 you get a free gaming PC as well?????
At least based on the comments on this site you would think so.........
I do admit their fans took it and should of pushed for better services. Two wrongs don't make a right though. Just because MS did it never meant Sony had to start as well. Sony coulda taken the high ground but they didn't and their fans rewarded them for it. Think about that.
As for the Scorpio, let's say it is going to be $600. Unless you build, you wont get close to 6TFLOPS for that price and even then, you will be using low to mid-end parts and still hav...
You can buy a PC that can game at XB1 levels or better for $300? Prove it.
So tired of people bringing up PCs as if every person with a X1 or PS4 has one capable of gaming or has the knowledge and patience to build one. As a Primary PC gamer and Systems Admin, your average end user is too jaded (or dumb) to plug in a mouse much less build a PC and manage their gaming rig.
And let's not forget Sony fans being willing bend over to pay for PS+ to mult...
Microsoft really needs to announce you no longer have to pay for XBL Gold to play multiplayer on the XB1. Keep XBL Gold for $60/yr. and give those subscribers access to the free monthly games and discounts and give a permanent 10% discount on all digital game purchases.....similar in parts to EA access.
Personally I would happily pay for this and I think lots of other would continue to do so as well.
I don't know, I love how this new God of War looks and love the series in general. I don't like the idea of some kid running around the whole game with you. I will rage if it runs into "save me!" every other encounter or if he whines a bunch.
But then again, I hate kids, lol.
It was only a GOOD conference. They really had an issue of not showing off any new IPs though. We already knew of all the games coming out. Could of been an excellent conference with 2 or 3 new games announced.
MS is in kind of a tough spot here. They get so much shit for supposedly restricting devs on what they can and cannot do on their platforms but if they allow devs the freedom to focus on Scorpio and release games just for that, they will still get shit on.
There's going to be so much vomit in people's houses when PSVR releases...lmao
I can play a lot of VR games myself (Gear VR) but games were you control the avatar fully such as Dread Halls can only net me about 15 minutes before I need to quit. Should be interesting to see people's thoughts after release.
Real advice though. Buy a small fan and keep it directly on you when playing VR, it helps with the nausea and sweating.
It's fine to put content first but if you create a hardware platform that makes it a pain in the ass for developers to get behind and port games to, they will continue to abandon you like so many thrid party developers are currently doing.
Stop being so stubborn Nintendo.
Or maybe it's because scumbag journalists keep asking him questions about the competition? You act like he just steps out on stage and just talks.
Also, rumors of an improved Xbox started way before those of Sony. If anything, it's Sony acting in response of them. MS clearly already has a lot of hardware set while Sony hasn't stated anything other than just confirm somthing exists.
It really was brilliant to present it the way they did. Maybe game trailers should take note in the future and just run with the gameplay first and not tell you what it is until the very end.
This was really confusing to me as well, there was never really and "Endpoint" for the PSVR stuff. I thought maybe it was going to be some kind of Eve: Valkyrie game......was pleasently suprised.
