Been hearing alot of rumblings about the KZ3 beta and the controls. Seems they are more COD-esque. Sadly, I hope this is not true because KZ2 controls were unique and very good IMO. I would love the same KZ2 controls but just more responsive.

Publishers expect to sell millions because they are public companies, for the most part, and need to make as much money as possible to appease their board and those who own shares in the company. Plus i'm pretty sure most of their employees make more than those who work at Frictional, let alone the executive level folks who make crap-tons more.
I do have to say, I enjoy looking at hot digital babes. But the sex scenes in video games never really get me all that interested unless they create a good story in the game. Like Mass Effect.
If I want to see sex, there are plenty free images and videos littering the interwebz to look at OR plenty drunk women at the bar OR sex with my GF when she is not busy being a doctor.

I do have to say that most christians are indoctrinated, starting at a very young age when they basically have no choice or developed enough to make cetain choices in life, so they are just forced fed the bible and many other things. Sure enough, the church can be a good place to go because there are many good ideals taught through the bible.

But I didn't have too much trouble with the VIP maps because they were free. COD maps you actually have to pay

yea, I have the same sentiments but also believe they will have an open public beta soon (OR at least I really hope so). I'm pretty sure i'm not going to get an invite since I was busy the whole night and could only d/l the theme in the morning.

It might be reasonable for Apple (with the whole Flash argument) to acquire Adobe but I'm pretty darn sure the folks running Adobe want nothing to do with Apple. Apple has pretty much been spitting in Adobes face

Agreed, for anyone that understands the brilliance of ICO and SoTC then The Last Guardian is simply a system seller.
But the same could probably be said for Killzone 3, Resistance 3, GT5, LBP2, InFamous 2 for lovers of different genres.
I don't really have any excitement for this game.
But if Treyarch is providing the torrent or seeding it then technically it would not be illegally but a free version of the game so if Treyarch would decide to sue someone, I'm not sure if they really have grounds for a case and could probalby be countersued.
Complete agreement about that run and gun crap, and to add to that quick scoping and prone diving while shooting = STUPID........I always play HC mode. I got WaW alittle later than others and CoD4 as a rental and borrowed it from a friend as well but the second I loaded up WaW and played the MP, I was like this is stupid, so I tried out HC mode and was at least a bit more relieved. Black Ops actually might have a really good HC mode but unless I can get it free or very cheap, i'm not ge...

War is war, whether or not you are mimicking a war 50 years ago or currently, what the hell is the difference, people have died or are dying.
People are way too sensitive and PC about everything these days.
I would actually love it more if they made the games even a bit more realistic and bloody so that gamers might actually have an even deeper respect.

Too many people just blindly play COD and don't give other games (even just other FPS games) a chance. COD is not really even that good.
Right now i'm playing through Bayonetta. That game is simply the bees-knees.
Then I still have an unopened copy of Castlevania and Vanquish to play through and then since it is Halloween time, I break out some...
I tend to agree that sales numbers are not always the mark for a good game........BUT it certainly helps.
It might be better than 80% of games out there now but for me, it is probably not better than 10% of the games I own. Although, I have only played the Demo of the game. It failed to capture excitement for me.
