Great score... but how the F did they determine it's a 9.3 already? I mean did they even get to the end game stuff? I know MS didn't give out really early codes, the most anyone got was a day early for streamers...
So not sure I can really trust this review. I mean I'm playing it and I'm not sure I'd give it a 9/10 until I see what the end game has to offer.
As of right now GP isn't going to be getting rid of physical retail. I'm pretty sure Phil Spencer said they aren't getting rid of physical. But you never know. I don't think we are more than a couple gens away from being a mostly digital media industry.
Literally there were only a couple of small independent retailers that threw a fit... and I'd suspect mostly for some attention. People who don't like to rent or own digital will still need to buy their physical copy. they still need the hardware as well.
Stop trying to make this option into a huge apocalypse... like this is going to "ruin gaming", wtf?
Are you sure it's not because PSNow is a crap service that relies on streaming? No one wants to Stream games, that's why most of those companies like Gaikai and OnLive ended up failing or Sony buying them out for their servers.
People complain about always online games, PSNow is always online no matter what game you play. It also doesn't help that the price point was very bad and it didn't perform well at all.

I kinda agree with him. In the originals when it would break to cinematic stuff and Kratos would do something crazy moves it didn't feel out of place because even the gameplay was always over the top and crazy.
While in the game, with it trying to be more grounded, it's weird going from the restricted gameplay where Kratos can't jump and needs a chain to climb a 15 foot wall but then can carry his son on his back while scaling cliffs and punching boulders and ot...
I'm not saying that was their actual plan haha just that it was good timing to steal a little limelight from a game from a rival company.
And you're foolish to think Sony isn't going to keep capitalizing and using business strategies just because they're already outselling the competition by large quantities.
SoT may not win Game of the Year but it's a contender for best MP game.
Some people don't care about total sales and figures... regardless of how he plays or how Much he spends, if he is playing for 2 weeks that is a good deal of time.
But if you're concerned so much about their money, maybe he enjoys it, maybe he tells a friend it's worth subscribing for a month to play it? MS just got another customer.
I thought it worked perfectly. The message is there and I'm glad they didn't turn it into some lame ass after school special PSA about the dangers of guns... But I guess to each their own.
Well because I didn't think this was an RPG, but watching and reading more of the previews from today it seems like they're adding in a lot more RPG elements into this one.
As of now I'd give it an 8, could go up if the mysterious stranger and the pirate legend missions in the end game are good.
Yes there is. They have end game missions once you become pirate legend and captain legend etc.

Phil Spencer said they would let them use Banjo... I wonder if they will bite this time.
Probably not, they'd rather put some dumb crap in I'm sure.
5.6 Meta when the game just launched and no one has even gotten to the end game stuff?
Hmmmm I call some fanboy tinkering...
Same here.

I still play from time to time. Nice.
Well, sure. Finally ONE journalists who seems truthful while analyzing this new design change and brought a valid point.
Obviously he still really enjoyed the game, but that was something that bothered him. It's something I know quite a few fans of GoW are bothered with.
Am I complaining? Or just pointing out that it is strange? I also praise a lot of Sony games, but you guys always tend to not notice those.

@UCForce
Confidence of doing a preview event? Majority of publishers do this for big games...
Because people can like both games?
