Makes sense.
You can also earn them by not paying... so therefore not exactly P2W. P2W usually means that you can only get said items from paying, which isn't true.
I have already been on top of the leader boards even from people who are higher rank then me with more star cards. Star Cards don't make that big of an impact if you suck at the game.
I'm patient. I'm holding judgment until launch day to see all the final changes. The game is hardly P2W unless you plan on dropping a rediculious amount of cash just to get a little bit ahead.
Damned if they do damned if they don't. People will find anyway to hate EA.
Same here!
Game is fantastic and I haven't wanted or needed to buy a lootbox. Also it was just announced that they are lowering the hero credits to only 15k which is fairly easy to obtain.
Enjoyed playing Cuphead with my brother, hell, even Battlefront II has splitscreen. There are plenty of local and online MP games, but it doesn't really bother me if its online only since that is how we play mostly anyway.
@djk1ng
All you have to do is login to your friends xbox or ps4 and then you'll have access to all your games you can then just download onto their system. Or if you don't want to download just bring your HDD with you. Most people own more than one controller also, and if you're planning a gaming night just have people bring their own controller. Most people own at least a PS4 or Xbox.
The other systems you can just bring your controllers with you...
I have played with my brother since we were kids, as adults we play at least every other weekend. The advances for these online services and online games is great. Something that Nintendo needs to step up with.
What do you mean you want to see a video of that?
Been playing for a bit on EA Access and have had no issues with the lootboxes. You unlock them at a decent pace as long as you're doing the challenges and such. For example you can get a "Lightside Hero Pack" by playing the Light Side arcade missions. I have even gotten premium currency (the currency you can buy from the store) from one of my daily lootboxes. I have had 0 temptations to spend my money on buying the currency and have just been enjoying the game.
@Foxtrot
You know this game is similar to what you just described, right? The more you play the objective, the more you kill and such the more points you get and then you can use those points to play as the jetpack trooper or a hero/villain etc.
Been playing it on EA Access for a bit. Almost rank 10 and have been loving it.
I actually was looking at this on the new release page on steam... glad I didn't buy it lol
Oh i thought this was an article about how the Switch is creating a monopoly.
Calssic case of a good idea on paper, but not so good during actual gameplay
Why release this on the 3DS? And not your newest hardware that is booming with sales and whete a party game would really shine?
Been fun so far and shockingly... haven't spent a dime on a loot box.
I have been playing it thanks to EA Access and have been loving it.
How did they make it worse? They dropped all hero prices 75%.
