@Tehpees
If you think that video games is the most corrupted market then you know nothing about the world haha I'm just going to stop this convo here because that may be the dumbest thing I have ever read.
@Tehpees
"They aren't going anywhere? Says EA and who else?"
Hmmm lets see:
EA
Ubisoft
Activision
WB
MS
Sony (Believe it or not TLoU and UC4 have MT's and they recently came out saying they are looking more into it)
Konami (MGSV and I'm sure MGS Survive)
Square Enix
Take Two
Blizzard
Bethesda
So yeah, I don&...
@XiN
I have played a few hero rounds with him in it and he seems fine
Even if a million people don't buy it... Battlefront 1 still sold 13mil and that game was critically panned and had barely any content. I can't see this one do much worse, but I'm willing to be wrong.
Nintendo has one of the worst MT practices I have ever seen. Who locks content behind a damn toy that are 1. sometimes very hard to find and 2. really expensive.
The thing is the people on this site, the gaming enthusiasts, the "hardcore" gamer, are a pretty small percentage of their market.That's why you will see outrage for these things, but not much will change.
You can say "well look at all the downvotes that reddit comment got" Yeah well for one even if it gets a million downvotes, not all of those people are even planning on buying it or they are just jumping on the "Largest downvoted comment in re...
Regardless how you feel about them, they aren't going anywhere. Not when we are seeing that Ubisoft has DOUBLED their MT transaction since last year, weren't people still hating these even last year? Yet their revenue has freaking doubled. Their MT's make them more than their digital sales.
The thing that needs to happen is to find a suitable middle ground here. I don't mind MT's or Lootboxes that only have cosmetics in them. Battlefront 2 crossed that b...
I agree with you. Haven't spent a dime and have still been winning matches and doing very well. No one in the match seems like they have any unfair advantage at all. The star cards do give a slight edge, but its not going to make you an unstoppable killing machine where you are going to go on a 50-0 kill streak.
@Kayoss
I'd just like to point out that at no point in this game will you have to swipe your credit card to get anything. No items, cards, hero's etc are locked behind a paywall. Everything is obtainable by simply playing the game. Hell, I got Vader from just playing the EA Access trial, it took me less than 10 hours to get Vader. 10 hours is nothing in a big MP game like this.
Battlefront 1 sold pretty damn well and Im' expecting Battlefront 2 to sell even better, it will be interesting to see if this backlash has reached the casual market.
So fox... just hypothetically here.
If they get rid of the star cards in those paid lootboxes and only have cosmetic stuff. Then they also make the only way to collect star cards by unlocking specific achievements or by using the scrap you can get.
Will that satisfy you and you will buy the game? Or will your mentality still be "too late"? Further proving there is no reason for them to change anything for the complainers?
@JBaby
Arcade is offline against bots. You can do custom matches and even do splitscreen in that mode. There is also the a mode where you play through set missions through the Star Wars saga as the main Hero's, each mission has 3 stars to unlock and each star adds more and more difficulty. You can play the light side story and the dark side story playing as each sides characters. Once you complete that sides missions would get a "light side loot pack" which wi...
@Itt
Not sure what you mean by that first question... should I have said win matches?
What do I care if progression can be bought? I'm not buying shit, it makes no difference to me.
Also if you weren't blinded by your hate there is a simple reason the payout for the campaign got lowered. The main character use to cost 20k and now 5k, that payout is to buy that character. See the correlation here?
I do agree wi...
@TheRandomOne
The only thing they changed was how much you earn after you beat the campaign. Before it was 20k and now it's 5k because beating the campaign grants you enough credits to buy Iden (the main character) who's price was 20k and dripped to 5k... all other earnings have remained the same
@TheRandomOne
Everything in game is accessible through progression... I was able to get Vader just from playing The EA Access trial and saving my credits. That was less than 10 hours of gameplay. I have already unlocked additional weapons for a few classes, through normal progression because you can only unlock weapons by playing that class specifically. I may not have the best star cards, but guess what? I'm still winning rounds and consistently make top 3. Star cards ...
Or, instead of removing one of their main money makers how about they just remove the ability to get star cards in paid boxes? That way it's just cosmetics.
There is far more quality here and content than just about any f2p title. You don't have to pay for shit. Everything in game is unlockable by other means than paying for it.
They are willing to try and make it better for you cry babies, but apparently its not going to help with you dumbass stubborn people.
What's the point of asking for change if you won't acknowledge it when they change it? That is stupid
Playing the game and getting credits to unlock them IS unlocking them from progression. How hard is that for people to understand?
Mmm dat muddy 30fps feel
