Open world GoW... not sure how I feel about that
2019?
@Cupid
I'm not trying to accomplish anything. Just giving my thoughts and views about this game. Didn't even make a troll comment or anything because I understand there are people who like it, but just expressing my views just like the other people expressing theirs.
Finally Nintendo rejoins the race! Will be interesting to see how they do next year since they got their 2 big system sellers released in the same year.
Even then it would still have to deal with Nioh, Cuphead, Hellblade, PUBG etc.
but it definitely has more of a chance against those than Zelda or Mario Odyssey.
Art design over cuphead or Persona 5? Sure, the graphics are gorgeous, but the art design easily goes to cuphead.
@Danoman
I can't find an exact playtime on my PSN account on PC, but I definitely got passed the tutorial. I did get my first override core and I think I'm level 18 or 19?
By that time I felt like I was doing the same stuff over again, and those tracking missions were seriously a bore. I mean they were often, and way too long.
@2pac
Could be said for both I guess. I also don't agree Zelda getting GOTY, but this comment was specifically for HZD.
Wasn't a big fan of LBP and Tearaway either... the dev created stuff still felt limited to the game creation tools.
@Ashlen
Not to be an ass, but that's because its really the only decent exclusive MP mode Sony has and it isn't even THAT great.
@thekhurg
Best Soundtrack - no way
Best New IP - debatable. It didn't really do anything new, but it did what it did very good.
Game of the Year - I would have given it to Mario Odyssey over Zelda.
@Fox Trot
Absolutely agree
I played around 6 hours of it and got bored. It didn't feel like anything new gameplay wise. It really gets bogged down by the standard open world stuff, freeing bandit controlled areas, sooo... mannyyyy.... tracking missions that lasted too long, map littered with random collectibles. The dungeons repeated and were really simple.
Nothing grabbed me unfortunately :/
I think the sales and popularity and overall praise speak more than this award over all... I mean has any game or publisher boosted its sales because of these awards?
I definitely wouldn't put it above the winners. I mean it deserves the Nom for sure, but it just got out classed in a VERY VERY competitive year for great games. Nothing to be ashamed of, Guerrilla Games did great.
Can't seem to get excited for another "Build it yourself" type game. They just don't do anything for me, personally. I'd rather have a fully crafted experience then slogging through a bunch of crappy user created stuff. Goes for this game, Mario Maker, Project Spark... eh.
Give me Ghost of Tsushima, Spidey over a game like Dreams any day.
This is what I mean haha it's super interesting, but I want to see how it actually looks and what we will be doing in gameplay.
Except this is all hand crafted
I love me some Spidey. Did this get a firm release date?
