three... The X version looks fine, the game ins't much of a looker on PC either. The X1 version however needs a shit ton of work.
The X looks significantly better. Long draw distance, actual textures etc.
The PC version STILL has massive issues. The problem isn't really too much the hardware as it is Blueholes lack of coding skills.

I have a feeling that the water code from Rare probably runs better and is more optimized then the mess Bluehole had otherwise why implement it if they knew it was going to be a big hit on performance?

They are the ones who got it running on the Xbox at all most likely since we know Bluehole couldn't optimize their game to save their life.
The PC versions is still an un optimized mess and without MS' help it probably wouldn't be coming to any console at all any time soon considering how slow and terrible they are at updating the game on PC.

That is a very dumb and narrow minded view. "Saying that no one would buy it", "we don't want it because we have other games to play" is stupid. Its like the reasoning Sony gave denying EA ACCESS. More options and more games is never a bad thing.
As of right now, this is basically an Xbox One X game. No point playing it on the X1 or X1S until they can further optimize.

Sounds like its just a straight port of the Wii U version with no upgrades for docked mode. That means we can also expect an unstable 60fps and the 30fps cut scenes.
That's like using the excuse for The Last Guardian bad AI saying it's suppose to not listen and disobey at times... we all know it's just bad AI.
Not saying I have problems with SotC though, because I love the game, but the gameplay mechanics hopefully received a face lift along with the visuals.
