Not trying to defend Crackdown because it does look a bit janky, but I know they have been having issues trying to get that Azure "cloud" shit working. Also Sea of Thieves is a massive online game which takes a lot more tinkering and ground work than a strictly SP game.
@BigBoss
While I own all systems, I do prefer my Xbox, but I by no means think they have the better gaming line-up. Sony obviously wins that.
It's not hard to believe that someone would prefer a game like Halo or Gears over Uncharted or Killzone based on their personal taste in games. Everyone is different. But, yes, out of sheer quantity and even quality from Japanese 3rd party and their massive amount of 1st party studios, Sony absolutely murders MS...
Can't wait to see what they bring us! I hope they bring back some older franchises as well. I would love a new Sly Cooper, SOCOM with some competitive MP, Jak & Daxter, Twisted Metal etc.
Rewards are the ability to buy customization's, new boats, rank up in factions etc. They haven't gone into too much detail on that yet though.
AI combat doesn't seem like a main focus, but I agree it would be nice if they were smarter.
Trust me... you do not want realistic fall damage in this game. Plus, it isn't suppose to be a realistic game... for christs sake you can shoot yourself out of your boats cannon!
Yeah the ...
It's not really an MMO, much like I wouldn't really consider Destiny a MMO even though it shares some elements.
Or in some cases longer than 6 hours after release.
It's one of those games that just doens't look fun watching someone else play. You need to try it yourself with a crew of friends. Hell, I have had amazing times dropping in with random crews. The automatic comradery is something very fun because you feel a part of a crew and not just a random member.
@Eonjay
Some games just do not translate well just watching it. Like watching Dark Souls or PUBG or RPG games. They aren't fun to watch but they are fun to play. Watching the video you don't get the same feeling as playing with an actual group of friends finding treasure, fighting other players, etc. It's just not the same.
I dont understand the high reviews for it.
Well, i already own it on PC and Xbox... can I get a different game?
Wasn't expecting this until 2019 anyway, which is perfectly fine.
@FunAndGun
Admittedly not a ton because when I got on a bit late after launch it didn't seem active, took me a while to find matches, not all matches were filled etc. So i figured it was pretty much dead. Plus getting on late sucked because all the OP powers you can get once you level up. Didn't seem like an even playing field.
They reviewed the PC version that just got the retail launch version 1.0
btw...
Popularity doesn't mean its flawless...
Which this review apparently forgets because there is no way PUBG should get a 10 when you consider the technical aspects of it.
@FreddyFazbear
Actually there are a good handful of games where the MP portion turned out much better and actually made more fond memories than the single player portion. Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Mario kart, smash bros., Street fighter etc. all are fondly remembered for local MP.
Hell, even the industry started with games like Pong which is a MP game... I remember great memories playing excite bike with friends and many more that were MP focused.
Usually after this long the user base has moved on to other MP games or the next game in the series. In this case however, GG didn't make another MP modes that was as good as KZ2.
Isn't shadow fall's MP pretty much dead? Plus it is crap compared to KZ2
One of the only good MP modes Sony has had in a looong time.
SOCOM with a competitive MP side and a Battle Royal mode would be f*&king amazing.
