Wishing for lots of people to lose their jobs is a tad harsh don't you think?

However, I agree that their used prices are terribly over priced - ebay all the way for buying and selling used games.

To be honest though, if you have the patience to wait a month or two, most new games go down to the £17-24 mark in a month or two at Amazon. Just got Mass Effect 2 for £23 new, going used for around 20 on ebay.

They swell company bank balances, anything else is irrelevent. Ask Bobby...

I buy new when games hit the £20-25 mark (barring some day one purchases), then sell it on when I finish it for around £10-15. Maximum value gained.

For example:

Bought COD BLOP £35 sold for £30
then I bought AC Brotherhood for £29 sold for £24, then I bought Mass Effect 2 for £23

All 3 games were bought new from Amazon.

Thats 3 games for the price of one!

Prob more like GT5 track editor I would guess.

Truely a trio of tripe there!

Killzone 2, Resi 5, Borderlands and GTA4 (which still amazes me to this day) all went within a day.

But you clicked on the article to read it? Obviously not that tired.

Been looking forward to this one for a while now. I miss having a good solid hack n slash ARPG like Balders Gate on the PS2. Good times.

If they can nail the handling and camera physics this game has winner written all over it - for me anyway. Not going to get my hopes up on the level creation mind...

Didn't know it would have the EA On-line pass thing.

Strangely enough I have gone from "on the fence" to "definite second hand purchase". It will most definitely go cheaper than usual thanks to the on-line pass cost, which suites me fine as I'm not into the online gaming thing.

Maybe EA are onto something after all?

Worth reading just to be reminded of Spy Hunter - ahead of it's time that one :)

Wow - unless you are under 16, that is unbelievable.

I thought it was a well executed game that gave hours of fun, deserves all the credit it receives.

Yet the reviewer gives most of those games 5/6 out of 10? Very strange.

Resident Evil 5 - such a turd.

Lets hope there are not too many corners - it could get messy!

Agreed sprayNpray - on the first two paragraphs anyway.

Maps, skins and the like should be free. If you pay x amount for a multiplayer game like COD and then find out you have to buy a map pack otherwise you can't play with your mates/online friends - frankly you're being ripped off. I will happily pay for DLC when it's VFM - BC Vietnam is a good example of when DLC works well.

Very well explained Darkfibre, and I admit it certainly explains things to a certain extent. But I still can't shake that feeling that it's still a rip-off. Why call it DLC? Why not additional content? It's misleading.

But I will spread your wise words when required :)

Well it could of been a way extract feedback from fans of said game and make it even better. This would in turn increase revenues and swell loyal fanbase numbers, who would end up buying anything from said studio because quality counts right?

Instead we get "DLC" that was already on the disc and is promoted before the game is even launched.

I have never bought any DLC, and I never will.

The key is to not collect any during the campaign - then nail them at the end with a guide. Which begs the question, how many people do these collect x amount of y and get all of them without a guide? I suspect not many...

If it allows you to play your PS3 games on the move by remote control using the NGP/PSP2 I will definately buy it.Not a portable gamer usually, but the potential being offered here is truely exciting.

And enough with the portable phone gaming comparisons - there really isn't any. I have had a 3G and an Iphone 4 - and the games are light years away from console games in every department.

Of course it is, it only generates twice as much as the music and film industries put together.

No profit to be had in a £3 billion+ industry.
