Now that is something useful that would certainly improve hackers public image. Doubt any of them have will to do that without "hacking" you console.

You know that!

Not getting my money until I see "includes all DLC" on the cover.

@Sky007

Looking at the release schedule for the year, things look pretty good to me. Not too sure I subscribe to your theory.

Would be nice if developers did give up chasing COD, that would mean less tacked on muliplayer and more single player goodness. I can't remember the last single player shooter that was worth investing in.

Edit: I get ya Sky007. I know a few of those, never makes any sense to me. I have heard the excuse "...

Is it really that bad that the masses stick to COD?

Personally I like the Battlefield crowd as there are hardly any trash talkers, and those that do mic up just wanna have a good game.

I think I would go find another shooter if Battlefield became the new COD.

Like many things in life, it's all about the length.

I love long games - currently 27 hours into ME2 - but I do find I will never go back to a game half done that I have left for a while. I never remember all the moves and tricks that you need to progress when your well into the campaign.

But that's what makes Resi games what they are? Clumsy and unforgiving.

No one cares about THQ's Z-list of games.

If there is a site, I would love to know about it.

"There are going to be a plethora of games being released this year worthy of a day-one purchase; after what I saw and played, this is one of them. I don’t say that lightly either: being someone who very rarely pays full retail, I cannot in good conscience rent Red Faction: Armageddon or buy it used. It’s just that good."

Bullshit bullshit bullshit. You should be ashamed of yourself mr writer. This article stinks of brown envelopes.

THQ must really...

Gone are the days of games being ready to play upon release. Early adopters always seem to get the rough end of the stick these days.

Surely it's only a matter of time before trading standards start getting involved.

What a waste of internet space.

The main issues with 3D is this:

Every user has a different experience with the same product. Works well for some people, not so good for others.

One thing that is universal is eye fatigue. There's no arguing about it, the human eye will simply not cope with long sessions of 3-4 hours or more using 3D. For my gaming habits that's a deal breaker for me

Isn't this what difficulty settings are for? Why the hell can't developers use there god damn talents to actually use this for "casual gamers" instead of painting everyone with the same brush and dumbing down games. I'm all for a helping hand here and there, but lets make it optional ffs.

Grinds my gears man...

Hate to bust your bubble, but adding 3D is, according to studios bosses and the like, a fairly simple process.

5564d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Because "becoming the norm" implies that it will replace 2d. Much like flat screen LCD TV's have become the norm.

Personally I dislike 3D. From making my eyes tired, the strange blur that you see off centre and the need to sit in a particular position.

Some people want it, but I doubt enough people do to make it "the norm".

Actually I think broadband needs to catch up more than consoles. Digital has flourished on the PC gaming scene because games are half the price. Nothing to do with consoles needing to catch up. They have the storage and the network functionality - I would say it's more of a cultural change needed.

Personally not a big fan of digital, just don't like having my content in the hands of the HDD gods.

All about the tech?

Ever heard the phrase "lots of flash but no bang" or "all cock and no balls"?

I actually believe both Kinect and Move are great bits of kit, but so far it seems Kinect is going down the Wii route while Sony are forging another path.

Lots of talk from Kinect owners asking for something to actually use it for.

Ive started to just "enjoy" games more and more. Used to always hit the net before I had even started a game to ensure I took the optimal path for trophy goodness. Now I just go with it and worry about future obstacles when I actually get there. A few of my fellow gaming friends have adopted the same approach and were all finding more time to have a laugh online, rather than skulking in our trophy whore hermit caves.
