Capitalism at it's finest, continuing the fine tradition of kicking people when their down.
USA - the place where you can fuck anyone over for anything.
What he said.
Watch some US racing, that should cover it.
Consider my agree heading your way. Gotta be some kind of wealthy idiot who disagrees.
For anyone who uses the argument that DLC is made in the months between submission and release, and therefore added to the disc at a later date. You are stupid. It never used to be that way before, so why now?
The recent Tiger Woods game had £129 (!!!) worth of DLC right after it launched. Unbelievable.
Yeah sure, your comments make you sound really clever...
How does a game "suck donkey balls" exactly, does the disc wander off to a nearby stable and seek out a donkey that looks game?
If there's a dumbass in this thread, it's you.
Getting hits is what internet journalism is about isn't it?
Just saying...
@evrfighter
Not that your biased or anything aye?
I hear you. For me it was the fixed camera angles that I found awkward, but again, that was all part of the allure for me.
Silent Hill didn't do it for me personally, not a huge fan of darkness heavy games. Having a sight line of about 1 yard just isn't my idea of fun.
Two points.
1) The awkward controls were part of the game that MADE them into the games they were. Franticaly trying to gain a few precious yards so that you could turn and nail whatever the hell caught you off guard will always beat run and gun controls for the horror genere.
2) Are you telling me you didn't jump when the first dog burst through the window in the hallway? Or the first time the thing with the huge claws (damn you memory) nailed you fr...
@azurechaos
Yes, you are probably right. I guess it's part of the US creating it's own identity. Surely you would agree that it would be easier in a business sense that we all used one system?
I'm currently studying accounting - and I can't tell you how annoying it is that the US change/have different terms on almost everything we do. Things that have been around for hundreds of years. Progress is good - but not always necessary.
Like most things, they just can't resist meddling with things that don't need changing.
Yep, add me in as gullable on that one.
If only it were true *sigh*
Wrong on so many levels, I really don't know where to start.
For the benefit of the disagree:
US PSN store has Resi 1,2 and 3 - can youy read that ok? People would rip up trees to have those 3 beauties. Plus Paraiste Eve which is bloody awesome.
Decisions are made in Japan, these are then filtered down to SCEE and SCEA.
dvr issue is down to US law - nothing Sony can do about it. You can thank Universal Studios an...
I already have an acccount, I used a friends address in the US (with their permission ChronoJoe the self appointed address police!).
But thanks for the heads up, I'm sure others can use your well intentioned guidence :)
Not sure where you have been looking. Just last night I downloaded Parasite Eve, can't see that in the EU store.
Look up the meaning of fraud before you start chucking statements around like that. I'm not attempting to gain anything illegally from it - other than a route to purchase goods LEGALLY using store cards bought LEGALLY on Ebay. The address has no connection to my purchases whatsoever.
Get over yourself ChronoJoe, your talking shit.
I think it's a collective thing he is trying to point out.
Take a look at the US PSN store before you give the guy grief.
I signed up a few weeks ago, unbelievable how much extra stuff is on there. So much, I'm actually going to buy pretty much everything from the US store now.
Yeah that's right, interactive entertainment is at an all time low...Millions of people just love to pay shit loads of money to get bored.
Unbelievable statement.
Edit: Said by developers who have failed miserably at creating a new IP. Justifying failure by saying everyone is kack seems to be a growing trend. It's quite simple, there are so many more games being released yearly - in the PS1 era there was probably half the amount being released - o...
Why not? We're not talking about a Borg collective here. People drive on motorways, control complicated electrical goods, walk, talk etc.
It's all about momentum and popularity. I'm forever spouting bad words about DLC -and I shall continue to do so. If I can convince one person it would have been worth it.
Free disc? Isn't that what they call digital these days :)
RE Online play:
"It's a known fact that many people were distributed an older (buggier) version from review instead of the retail copy by mistake."
This could apply to pretty much all of the above complaints - apart from PSN downtime obviously.
The developers are going to patch all the affected copies after the UK release date.
