If EA really wanted this to do well and really have people possibly subscribe then it should be on PC. They have a huge back catalog of games they could open up there. Limiting it to XBOX One and trying to push it on PS4 just doesn't sit well because both have a very limited number of older EA games EA could provide to run on those consoles. As it stands now it truly is not a good value for what they are offering. Given time it could become better but that could take years before we start...
I absolutely loved the Alpha and the Beta. I put nearly 38 hours across my three characters on the Beta and I wanted to keep right on playing. The only thing that stopped me from playing the last day of the Beta was the fact I had to work. I still don't get these articles. has everyone forgotten that Bungie has a 10 year plan for Destiny. This one game is only the beginning. We already know about 2 expansions that will come sometime after the full game. Also they have said there will be n...
Unless you are in a fire team or using party chat there is no chatting with other players. In fact most of my clan mates always used party chat when together in game. In PVP it helped keep the chat clear without any sound of the game overpowering it. Out in the world it was nice to use fire team chat though because the voices would actually echo as if they were right next to you in the world.
The only thing that really needs to be changed about the vehicles is not allowing anyone to cap a point while riding one.
The beta ended last night. It is over and no one will get a chance to play it again in the public until it releases on September 9th.
Well the Season Pass they are adding into the limited editions of the game can also be bought separately only covers the first two expansion packs. The two they have announced are The Dark Below and House Of Wolves. Each is supposed to include new missions and items for every mode of the game. I am not sure how they will handle expanding it beyond those two but at least we do know about the first two planned ones already. I had enough fun with the game that I look forward to seeing how it get...
I played as all three in the alpha and have done the same with the beta. I started off with an exo hunter, then created a human titan, and finished off the group with an awoken warlock. I will most likely do the same with the full game because I honestly like all three and can see myself wanting to change it up a bit after playing as one of the others for awhile.
I think they should also allow yearly or monthly subscription prices. Depending on which one you can play 1-2 games for free or have a swap option. Where you can play through one and once you finish it, turn it in to get another one.
Agreed. I never really noticed any lag in PvP but I know some that did have a very small amount every so often. Also there were a few bugs but nothing that broke the game. I never had one single issue connecting to any aspect of the game or getting together with friends in it. I have played full games on launch that had major connection issues so if Bungie can improve on the few issues I noticed then yeah other companies will not have an excuse for not having their running better especially i...
I am too. I was surprised how much fun I had with it. Even the little bit of PvP I played was fun. I had gotten really tired of FPS MP but with Destiny I can see myself spending hours just doing that because of the fact it will help me earn gear for the other parts of the game. It sucks having to wait a month for the Beta and then having to wait until September for the full game. Even worse I will be at work the night it comes out as well as the night after. I might have to bring my Vita alon...
I want YouTube integrated before Destiny hits. I have been making some videos for MLB 14 The Show. But once Destiny hits I will be making a lot more vids and probably do more live streaming too. I have tried live streaming MLB 14 The Show but I hate how small it makes my screen and I need it larger for good timing on my hits. Smaller screen won't be much of an issue for FPS though.
As for the suspend feature. I am not sure if I would be able to use it because I am not the...
About the Ammo you can buy some at the weapons vendor for each type of weapon. Once you use one out in the field to bring you back to full ammo you have about a 4 minute cool down before you can use another one. I always ran with at least two of each in case I ever found myself running low and that only happened when going into the strike against the bosses. Then I was able to quickly get back my ammo and continue the fight without having to go looking for an ammo drop or an enemy to kill. <...
It would seem so. I am sorry I even read that mess. All I got from the article was either he didn't understand what was going on so he didn't like it. Or he didn't get to do what he wanted, so again he didn't like it.
I would have to say it is very ambitious. I played the Alpha and that was just a small sliver of the overall game. With all we do know I think some just look at what the Alpha showed or the other things Bungie has shown and forget about what they have said. Stuff like having new content added into the game every single day, the fact that Emissaries can show up at random to give out quests that need to be completed before they leave, how exactly the Factions will work in the game, and what exa...
I loved my time with the Alpha. I will also be in the beta because I want to make sure Bungie has the data they need to make sure the full release is working well. Granted I will have to go through wanting to play more and unable to between the time the beta ends and the game releases but it will be worth it. I also think that this will be the must have game for the holiday season and will also gain the majority of the GOTY awards.
I think most of those comments are coming from the same ones who just want another Halo and Gears game. I however am very intrigued by what has been shown so far and I love alternate history type stuff as well. I will be buying this when it comes out and I know I will most likely enjoy it too. I also hope that more developers step out of their comfort zone and try some new things. Whether it be with new IPs or with older IPs trying to push the games in some new direction or concept.
I don't care much for the Watch Dogs MP. I just want to do the SP stuff. GTA V I did enjoy both online and offline last year though on PS3. I definitely plan on rebuying it for PS4 and will gladly play both online and offline for that again.
Why not try the game out before you make a judgement on it? I too didn't think much of it when I first saw it being shown. The concept intrigued me but I was kind of tired of FPS so it wasn't something I thought I would be into. After having played just the little bit they gave us in the Alpha I can say I enjoyed every second I was playing it. I cannot wait for the full game to come out because I know I will be playing every single bit of it. Even the PvP stuff has me wanting to play ...
I think companies really will have to start rethinking how they handle MP and SP in FPS games. I know many skip the SP in COD and do nothing but MP all the time. For me that got old after awhile. With Destiny I love how everything is so mixed together. If you want to go off on your own you can, want to do some great Co-Op you can do that too, and then if you want PvP that is there but it also can help you unlock higher ranks and other loot you can use back in the other parts of the game. That...
I am stoked for the end game content. So are all my clan mates who will be playing this. I cannot wait to get my hands on the full game because going after the high level stuff sounds like it will be a blast.
