I looove DKC music. I would just hang out in the bonus rooms just to hear the music.
I was teased in school for playing video games and liking nerdy things by a group of other girls. The boys all thought it was awesome. The girls that teased me grew up to have horrible traits about them. One of them seriously started to grow a beard and mustache in the 5th grade. Karma, bitch!
Cause its a slow news day? People get outraged at bullying and it makes for good headlines.
Yeah, for six year olds.
Wait, what?
Censorship in an extreme sense does filter out a lot of good things. But this is a fcking swastika. It's a symbol for hatred and genocide above all else (say what you will its origins, but that's what it will forever be known as).
More than six million people who died and billions more who were affected, compared to a bunch of douches getting their feathers ruffled because they can't be a dick-head?
Sorry bout those...
Or people 'trying' to take the intellectual high road.
The Swastika is never going to return to its more righteous and peaceful meaning. Sorry. You can't gloss over six million people dying at the hands of a government that just so happened to use this symbol.
I played it at a friend's house. While it's fun, it's only fun for a little while before things get pretty boring. Yeah, jumping around is fun for a while, pretending you're a retarded chicken flapping your arms around is fun for a while, fun for even longer if you're a kid or drunk.
I was just amazed at how everyone else was exhausted and I still wanted to play.
I guess that factors in, too.
Actually...it takes longer to write out a 'good' script that coincides with what the devs, the director and the publisher want the game to be.
Plus, you have to consider if you want to continue to work in the industry or not. Your past work will always be a factor, and if future employers find out that you just pissed out a script in a few hours, then good luck finding further employment...unless its for Party Babiez.
It isn't Alan Wake, because that's an MS exclusive. I have a feeling it's the game featured in the link as well.
@ Blacktric
But that would be so awesome if it was...T~T
111 disagrees right now. That's hilarious in itself.
This is actually a pretty clever article. And I'm not generally one to comment on advertisements. It's actually one of the most clever game advertisements I've ever seen.
Maybe it was just The Stones?...nah.
Reason 1....there really isn't a whole lot that you can do with distribution. You can either purchase a hard-copy of the game or download it. Steam uses DL - sometimes it's fast, sometimes it isn't, but it's there. It updates automatically. The only other way to go is streaming the game directly to your device, and how many PC gamers actually want the lag and low-quality that comes with that?
Reason 2....if you keep hearing that it's hard to get onto S...
You purchase 4 copies of the same game? Doesn't Steam let you play your games wherever you're signed in? Unless you have four different accounts with 4 different people playing...
Anyone who thinks that it's "Max Pain" fails the article. How exactly is Alan Wake a corridor shooter? Because there are levels?
What about SMB - Wii?
Not only that, the game would tell you exactly where to go if you pushed a button. It was like having your own personal GPS system.
...but you more than likely already have a TV...
Because there's making things easy, and then making it 'too' easy. Like the phones for old people with the gigantic buttons.
Dude, you're wondering why she doesn't want to talk to you? She works with psychiatric patients, you work with what more or less are fancy toys. That's like being a bartender trying to hook up with a neurosurgeon, dude.
Don't get me wrong, I love games and I even write for a gaming website. It does show that you have an extreme amount of dedication to what you love, but some people just aren't that into it.
