Prelude of Light! PRELUDE OF LIGHT!
These guys never particularly bothered me. But now that I've seen the concept art...:S
sigh...won't anyone think of the man that is on fire in the background? I mean...surely that hurts like a bitch. Plus now he's got glass raining down on him. Won't the senseless violence against the AWM cease?!

Good read, but it's funny how there are some people questioning the credentials. Cause everyone on N4G is an expert in the law as it pertains to entertainment. Just like everyone in prison is innocent.
I figured axeblade1 was talking about actually getting an old system and hooking it up when you wanted to play it.
Wow...really man?
Happy birthday to Link! Twenty-five years old, doomed to turn back into a prepubescent boy every so often.
That's like saying "I don't like B&E, I just like lockpicking. I'll pick this lock, but if someone else happens to break in, it's not my fault."
There was another story that stated that the judge tore the snot out of it, dismissing all but one claim.

So....yeah
Have to agree on that one. It seemed like even though he was hiding in the shadows all the time, he still rocked enough to put you in your place when you finally found him. Or flee...like super fast.
What leftover funds? By the time this is through there won't be any.
Man, who buys a PS3 for Linux and Windows XP? Really?
There's a shit-tonne of people in the world who would happen to disagree with your colour of right spiel.
I own a car, but that doesn't mean that I can put a turret in the centre console. But I own the car, I should be able to do what I want with it! I pay insurance so I can drive the car on the road! You can't tell me what I can and can't do with my own property!

Man, if you have no means to face the charge then you shouldn't have done the deed that got you there in the first place. It wasn't as if this came out of nowhere. They threatened, he persisted, and now he's getting burned.
The community won't support him forever, so he should hope that either way this gets put to rest quickly.
You do realize that everyone who does this kind of thing are the people that make the economy so crappy. Right?
Yeah...maybe they can ask him for donations.
Kids still look really weird in games...
Nothing on Lifetime is ever, 'truly' educational...

This isn't even about Lik-Sang, but having done approximately 1 minute of wiki search I can see that the last court ruled that Lik-Sang was infringing on Sony's rights...
I'd feel a little more sympathetic if if they'd been found not guilty of any wrong-doing. If you're guilty, you're guilty. Like I said, throw stones at the hive, expect to get stung.
By the time Sony would settle, he'd be in no position to negotiate any terms. Sony will purposely drag out the case until he has nothing left.
Honestly, the only negotiation I think they'll work with is "you stop now, sign your name to the line that states you will never do this again for any system that Sony creates, and we won't pound your ass into the ground financially."
Sorry, but Geohot was naive. Naive being a pretty generous descriptor here. You can't just go up against a company and expect something like this not to happen. Same goes for Lik-Sang. Throw stones at the bee hive, expect to be stung.
And that's the way the system works, how many cases do you think actually go to trial compared to how many suits are filed? They'll likely settle out of court once he has exhausted his resources.
Knew this was coming a long time ago, just...release it already!!! lol
