Don't use Kotaku as a source. Unless you like admitting to being a flaming Xbox fanboy who sticks to flaming Xbox fanboy sites like Kotaku.
BTW, I wonder if Microsoft has paid off the 4 billion dollar loss from the original Xbox, and the 1 billion dollar loss from extending the warranty on their defective pile of substandard technology called the Xbox 360.
Sure, but they still need to remember how they attained their success in the first place. It's one thing to make multiplatform games, it's quite another to favour a console or make statements like "We don't want Sony to be the overwhelming victor". I would ask them "You don't want Sony to be the overwhelming victor even if it meant incredible profit to you?"
I'm not suggesting that it would, but the possibility remains that it could. And SE is suggesting that ...
My first console was the NES, 21 years ago. The PS2 was an exception? Good lord you're not very bright are you? The PS2 had no strangle hold. Sony didn't force developers to make games for it? Open your eyes and think before you spew bullsh*t about stuff you know nothing about.
Licensing was the only thing paid for until Microsoft came into the mix. You want proof of this? All you have to do is look at FFVII. But then again, I'm sure you'll say that Squaresoft was bought off by S...
At least it has mods, FOR FREE!!! Can you say the same about the 360? No? Thought so.
BTW, LittleBigPlanet is essentially one giant mod.
Here's a hypothetical for YOU. What if Live didn't have lag, extended periods of unintended shutdowns, and summary bannings of innocent users who DIDN'T mod their consoles but still get banned thanks to a f*** up by Microsoft, who then tells them that they have no choice but to buy a completely new console and make a completely new Live account where they have to pay a completely new Gamer Tax?
It goes both ways. Sony helped launch the FF series into mainstream popularity and is greatly responsible for the fact that FF even continued after FFVII. Sony bailed Squaresoft out of bankruptcy before, and they own 12% of SE. Eye for an Eye as it were.
Buying exclusives is NOT normal. I don't know where you've been but, Microsoft started that B.S. way of doing things and have suckered people into thinking that that's the right thing to do.
I miss the days where exclusives had to be earned, not bought.
Says hi.
Here's a hypothetical for you. What if Home brings all that, and the PSN is STILL virtually lag free in online games (dedicated servers FTW), and is STILL free? Would you still say Live is superior (even though it isn't)?
P2P or Dedicated Servers?
Reply wasn't meant for you.
You don't know what you're talking about. Motoi Sakuraba and Nobuo Uematsu are legendary. It has nothing to do with Halo. It has to do with the FACT that they are just the best, hence everything they make is the best. Maybe switch off your Xbox fanboy mentality every now and then and you'll get it.
That's all I have to say.
news.gotgame.com and instantly stopped caring about this. Since when is an opinion news?
BTW, Motoi Sakuraba, and Nobuo Uematsu FTW.
So, Halo is crap next to FF and SO. The Divine Spirit of Language from Star Ocean 3 is enough to put that list to shame.
Who cares? No really, who the hell cares?
First of all, has anyone EVER heard of giantbomb before? Their comparison is likely synonymous with their domain name.
Second, why does it matter? Everyone and their grandmother knows that A)The game is OLD (by now). B)If made on the PS3 first, the opposite of what this "article" says would be true.
So, it's all moot and completely irrelevant.
Once again, "professional" bloggers g...
The proof is in the pudding so to speak. And it's staring at you right in the face.
Does the 360 do well in Japan WITHOUT an RPG or a price cut? No.
Do JRPG's on the 360 EVER break the million units sold mark in ANY region, or total global numbers? No.
Do companies like the idea of their top games selling poorly in their BEST markets? HELL NO.
So, who's in denial?
That it takes a price cut to make the gimped Arcade 360 cheaper than the Wii + a JRPG release for the 360 to beat the PS3 ANYWHERE, let alone Japan.
I mean, take a good look at the PS3. YTD it's been beating the 360 globally even though it's TWICE as expensive as the 360 and has NO good JRPG's. Makes you think that Sony is laughing their a$$es off right now, because all they have to do is either release one good JRPG, or lower the price of the PS3, and they'll be ahead of the 360...
So Microsoft hasn't gouged the shyte out of their consumer base with overpriced accessories and an online service that offers nothing that you can't get for free elsewhere?
I love people who disagree with facts. It's like they think that they have some kind of special powers to change FACTS to suit their own fanboyisms.
Why are VGWire's "articles" getting approved? THEY ARE OLDER THAN TIME!!!
Geez. Who the hell is approving these things?
Your name is total win. How did you even know how to spell that? That's something I'd been wondering about since I first heard that word.
