It's nice to see both Move and Kinect coming out with games that are a little more focused on the (perhaps) older gamer...the more hardcore gamer. With Sorcery and Datura for Move, and now this for Kinect, maybe we're finally going to get a good run of games that appeal to people who don't just want mini games.
Seems a massive shame that it's getting these kind of scores. Releasing it as DLC really felt like the right move, but to drop the ball so hard is disappointing.
Two questions arise:
1. Will Sony give this the marketting oomph it seemingly deserves?
2. Why weren't EA able to make a Harry Potter game like this?
It's possible, I guess...but so many people shop online nowadays, it's just odd to see that chart. It's a very sterile, stale looking top 5 for sure.
Sucks for Namco, Unbounded is a great racer too. Good review scores obviously doesn not = sales!
Completely agree with the review. There's just enough "Ridge Racer" in Unbounded to make it feel right. The creation aspects could really take off if the community fall for this game, in a big way.
Definitely worth a buy imho.
Always enjoyed the Street games, but my problems always been that they are great fun...for a while, then they get a bit samey.
Wonder if this is any better in that respect?
Indeed, soooooo good! Wonder if the younger generation will dig this?
KNIGHTMARE! HOLY SHIT!!!!
Shock Horror, Mass Effect outsells everything week one! :-D
Quite surprised to see SSX beat out SF x Tekken though. Then again, a few years ago I'd have been amazed to see a fighter like SF x Tekken even existing, let alone in the top 3 of the UK sales charts on debut week.
Best episode yet. The intro had me in tears with laughter.
Seems more suited to a download, might have a look.
I really, REALLY did not care for the beta, so this score is quite surprising to me!
I could never get on with racing wheels, sadly :-(
I can't decide whether coming in at 20th in its first week is good for Catherine or not. Either way, at least it is in the top 20!
Almost scared to play it. Massive Final Fantasy fan, but the XIII wasn't my cup of tea at all. I want this to be good so badly!
Fantastic to see it finally getting a European release. I just hope the people who wanted it DO go out and buy it, thankfully Deep Silver were the people to take the risk.
Support innovation, support something a bit different :-)
It's tricky, people buy COD in massive numbers so why - and look at this from a business point of view, not a fanboy one - would you stop making them?
I loved Enslaved, most people seemed to. However, most people obviously didn't buy it, which is sad.
People will always just play what they want to, though I do think we're hitting a dangerously high level of over-saturation with games coming out. Look at this week alone, NeverDead, MGS HD Collectio...
I have to say, I'm really really looking forward to this. I've not played an SSX title in bloody ages, and it's hard not to be sucked in by the stunning looking visuals in the video.
Give me great tunes, gorgeous visuals and a smooth gameplay experience and I'll be shouting from the rooftops that SSX is back baby!
Can't wait for this game!
