Can it be played without 1? Sure, but it's extremely beneficia to understanding to have played 1st one
Personally, it's dumb to against Halo for people like me who have both consoles. I'm buying Halo: Reach when it comes out and I think that's the danger you run going against something like Reach or MW2
It's worked out just fine for me. I've enjoyed several of them
I'm only in chapter 4 and I can see the potential that the battle system has....it does require a great deal of strategy still and it's more fast paced than the turn based systems of old. Resonance of Fate doesn't really appeal to me at all but to those it does appeal to will enjoy it I'm sure

It is curious how it's on all the major bioware game websites except The Old Republic.....just seems odd to me. I guess we will find out in 5 days

Microsoft isn't going away.....so you Sony "exclusive" followers can forget that idea but why is it such a hard thing to own both consoles? I mean I bought my 360 3 years ago and just bought my PS3 in November.....if you wait 3 years and are just patient, you can save the capital to purchase both
People are so silly....and no Sony will not kill Microsoft or Nintendo and the triumverate will continue long into the gaming timeline
If I had judged a game solely on a demo, I would have never played Heavy Rain through....but I didn't judge it and it was a great experience
A demo is a guide as to waht the game should be like....it's not the final product (pretty sure it says so in a statement)

I personally am fine with "milking" franchises because the games are damn good...just wondering why it's ok for .8 games a year from the God of War team but 1 game a year is too much from the Halo team.....

First off, I would be extremely excited if another GOW game comes out because it's a great series done by a great developer.
GOW3 makes the 4th God of War game in 5 years (first GOW released in March 05)
Halo has had 6 games in 9 years so far
It's a question of why you consider Halo being milked but God of War hasn't been?

Well, I hope not...I'm about 2 hours in and haven't played in a week since I visited parents and only had a 13 in sdtv to play on there. Tried but didn't want to cheapen the cutscenes and experience without playing it on my 32" 1080i.......so I get that and GOW 3 to go through with Gamefly......can't wait
wait, i'm confused.....so if MS does this, they're an evil corporation who can only buy their exclusives but if Sony does it, they're a great company who just has the fans in mind and has such good relationships with companies that they couldn't have paid for this? There are two reasons it got such a head start.
1) The year head start for release
2) The oringinal price difference....Halo and the price difference are the main reasons I bought my 360 3 years ago.....and the reason I just bought my PS3 3 months ago
it's just not attention grabbing to me when you've got FF13, GOW3 and Alan Wake after it.....I'll probably get around to it though
In all fairness, anything can be community related....I wouldn't hold my breath for anything but I could definitely see the beta announcement for TOR as community related
